Don't suppose these are available in 5 stud and 16 or 17"? Had a quick look about but seems 15s the biggest they go...

Don't be silly mate - anyone who gets the at a lowered car struggling over a bump at a show needs to find a new hobby

Yes, you did! I spent a while biting my lip in true British fashion as some stand-invaders had parked up on the TAB pitch. In fact it wasn't until later on that I mentioned to someone in passing (in an Austrian accent) that our stand had attracted some imposters who must be shot, and they said "Oh no mate that's DarrenW". This is when I felt sheepish and realised I was parked right next to you all day and didn't say hi. So, hi! Digging the white bus. Was that you getting beached trying to leave? I was a couple of cars behind and thought if you can't get out there's no way I'm getting out! Hope you got out without any damage. No you didn't get a pic of my car. Don't feel bad though no one else did either I know what you mean about missing out gems though - I thought I'd covered it all but seen a few on your pic collection I never spotted and saw a couple as we were leaving that me and my mate both said "Where was that hiding - I never saw that..." I barely got more than half way around the retro car parking in three hours 'cos I was nattering away to people for ages, and then I somehow bypassed a load of stuff in a semi-hurry to get to the start line, and never moved from there until the end of the day. If I make it again (which I will try to!) I'll try harder, and maybe not drink a *lot* of quality Austrian lager all day at VW Action on the Saturday, and finish it off during RRG in the sunshine! Yeah know what you mean - we had a wander round during the hill climb lunch break but that was nowhere near enough time. We'd got about a quarter through the car park when we heard the restart so wandered back for that. Will definitely be back next year and hopefully camping next time round.

Found out when I got to queue up at The Gathering that my handbrake had given up the ghost so had to slip the clutch to get me in. Ended up smoking a fair bit by the time I parked up and absolutely stunk. It was still smelling when we left but seems to be operating fine - biting points fine, doesn't slip, gears change nicely etc but it still smelt really strongly when I got home and is still stinking now! I've never burnt a clutch before so is it knackered or will it always smell for a while after?
Oh yeah special thanks to the girl in the red MKIII Escort that begged me to let her pull out, then stopped in front to chat to her mates while I had smoke curse word out from under my bonnet - cheers love!

That black one, second car down really looks to me like a 4 door Corrado. Would really love to visit Moscow one day - looks like I've got the perfect excuse now

I'd say a built type 1 engine. I've had two 1776 engines full of tasty bits in two of my Beetles and they flew. Surprised more than a few hot hatches back in the day...

I had one behind me this last night on my way home from work and a different one following me this morning. Owned one in briefly in the mid 90s after numerous arguments about how my Audi Coupe wasn't a practical family car, so sold it and bought a 3 year old BX diesel estate. I hated that car with a passion and it turned out so did she, so three weeks after purchase it was swapped for a MKI Golf GTi Funnily enough as much as I hated that car, I've fancied another one for a few years now...

Was coming out of my road the other day and spotted this. First thought "Oh wow a MKIII - Don't see many of them these days..." Second thought "Oh wow - a two door..." Third thought "Oh WOW - it's a Crayford! Gotta get a pic* of that!" *admittedly poor
