Unless your building a car for competiton the best thing is to fit one turbo, go a bit bigger than too small, do your home work & get the pipe work correct, ignition , A/F and you will have a lot of latitude. If you don't want to use an intercooler, shoot water into the turbo inlet, use a sealed container with a mix of water & screen wash ( The one with alcohol in it),check the net for details. What fuel system are you using, fuel injection?

Cross bolts, Ive just drilled & taped them for M10 bolts, its a strange match of parts, the block has the two tapped holes for a cam plate but it only has the early non located cam. Hopefully it has little core shift & the wall thickness behind the sleeves are not thin..

Now its been degreased it has a badge on it stating its a LandRover factory remanufactured engine, it looks like the liners are sitting on a ridge, so they should not be able to move, does any one know anything about these, is there anyway of decoding the numbers on the ali' badge? thanks

Ive just pulled a 3.9 EFI engine from a disco, its very very clean, no engine number or com' ratio on the pad ( by the dipstick) The only thing I can see is stamped letters, WT WT 51 located on the pad that the old P6 rovers used for the engine number. In the push rod vally it has 10 in white marker writen twice, its a v belt engine with the cross bolted bottom end but its not been drilled / tapped for the cross bolts. the oil pump is driven from the dizzy shaft.
The engine has been painted with a silver paint, which has a very very light tint of green.
It looks like its been remanufactured by some one, any ideas? thanks

Is the stock commercial clutch as fitted to LDV's etc have a higher clamping force than the car clutches, what about the Land Rover clutches? thanks

Hi, Dowels are about alignment, not counteracting looseness, that's what the fixings are for. Colin Correct but in conjuction with main studs they will stop fretting, ive seen them used in high end alloy race blocks before

Make your phase converter from a big 3 phase motor some capacitors, very easy to do & works a treat. My local scrap yard allways has new 3P motors in the motor bin.Made mine for about £40.
