I've recently damaged the transponder chip in the one and only key for my MK4 Golf rendering it un-drivable. I'm bought a new chip and fitted it to the key but it now needs to be programmed to the cars immobiliser. Is there anybody on here that is able to program transponder chips or can recommend someone that can? I've tried my local VW dealer but they can only do it if the car is there with them (will need to be towed there) and local auto locksmiths are quoting £100+ just to program the chip to the car. Just wondering if there was anyone on here local to me (I'm in Bromyard, Herefordshire) with the programming tools that could offer me a better quote? Thanks in advance

Back up for sale again. One alloy now fitted with new tyre as one suffered a blow out. So 2 tyres are new with 7mm tread, one had 5-6mm and another 3mm.

Do you have a cat fitted? Had the same problem with my mk3 astra tds only making 3psi on boost with a bleed valve fitted, knocked the inside out on the cat which was half blocked with soot, once that was done it went straight up to 15 psi on boost.

Just got around to having another look at these today. Removed both sides and the bracket with the locating hole is damaged, making the strut sit lower in the hub.
Thanks for the advice.

I have a set of Raceland coilover fitted to my MK4 golf and i've noticed that on the passenger side, the coilover strut sits lower in the hub than the driver side one. Surely they should be sitting at the same place? Passenger side Driver side
