Please no horror stories of injuries on this thread.....thanks I don't know about anybody else but I always install my discs the graphics/stickers lowermost - the reinforcing rings (one on disc and the other on grinder drive head) then encapsulate the disc as I understand it. If you thing about a grinding wheel (as opposed to slitting disc) then when it is installed you always see the reinforcing ring because the discs are - typically - stepped in design. Any thoughts? Matt

Only a day has passed and i am hankering to be back down at Goodwood already! What a brill weekend.
I saw several snappers - both static and on circuit - that had a pro vibe about them, and was wondering if any if they got in touch with the RRW crew beforehand or after the event?
Thanks again,
Matt

Fab photos, chaps! Not in any way intended as a slight on those efforts but does anybody know which professional photographers were there who photographed the track action?

I was hoping someone would have started a Thank You thread Just wanted to say - on behalf of all of us from the 02forum - a massive thank you to all of those involved in setting up and running the event. It was better than last year (an achievement in itself!) as there were many, small changes that added up to a big difference from my perspective. I absolutely loved the chance to drive on the circuit and- just like last year - revelled in the variety and quality of the metal when i wasn't on track. Everyone i met and talked to was super-friendly, which is something you don't find at every event. You lot knocked it out of the park

Despite having booked my car in and paid for two tickets for the Goodwood meeting in two weeks time and e-mailing retro-rides yesterday , I've received no reply and no tickets . Very disappointing . Anyone else having problems ? Â I think your post is very disappointing. Please at least acknowledge the response(s) of the organiser(s),apologise for your insolence and take a chill pill. Thankyouplease.

It will undoubtedly be useful down in Kernow, but i didn't think there was a (legal) need for our cars(?)
"PART II - Requirements relating to optional rear fog lamps
1.  In the case of a motor vehicle first used before 1st April 1980 and any other vehicle manufactured before 1st October 1979, any number may be fitted and the only requirements prescribed by these Regulations in respect of any which are fitted are those specified in paragraphs 2(d), 7 and 10 of Part I."
As you know i have two NK-era BMs, and whilst neither have fog lights they are both MOT'd and road legal...

Sorry to be a PITA but when is the latest i can switch my track entry, assuming this is allowed? The garage completing work on my entered car are not yet done, and so i have prepped my backup car just in case. It is another 1972 BMW,albeit a different model,so hoping it will be OK if push comes to shove.

I have had it all wrong all this time: the driver is Roman Caresani and i think our Pascal had a hand in the prep of the car.
The og video was taken down but i have purloined another copy for the viewing pleasure of those yet to see this 911 masterclass:

After a few months apart I was starting to miss that daft, gurning grin. A trackday at Mallory was organised by Javelin and the price was just too tempting. Aside from a full spin at devil's elbow and a couple of mild tickings off about noise, Dickhead took a beating all morning whilst delivering smiles and adrenaline in spadefuls. I can dice with a mildly prepped clio 182 or Toyota 86 but beyond that he needs a bit more poke and a bit more grip - in which order i don't know! Ultimately he did himself proud for a stock M44'd 02 on a changeable circuit at which the temp didn't get above 7C. Since then I have rested the car as I have got the aforementioned E3 roadworthy and reliable. Depending on what i have money to do with that will inform what I can do with this one: it will be a proper 4-2-1 exhaust or a custom inlet arrangement with new alpha-n mapping and throttle bodies. Hopefully i will remember to update soon! Brucey bonus is this little takeoff clip so you can hear what an no-cat m44 with a dodgy exhaust sounds/looks like in a slightly portly 02: drive.google.com/file/d/1bkRn7New_u_1BpTrJY0XT9F7qjkEXm_R/view?usp=drivesdk
