After a birthday treat to brooklands Mercedes Benz world and a play on their racing simulators, I'm after building, purchasing a steering wheel set up for my ps4. Any recommendations? Any cool set ups out there? I've got something in mind but it's approx £1000 so I need to be careful ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) please help!

It's 6' x 5' and 8' tall at the front. I used the half sheets I had to clad the side, keeping the long full sheets for the front. ![](http://i1108.photobucket.com/albums/h401/ashley115s/Mobile%20Uploads/2016-06/97DAC477-A80B-4486-8024-CF4BA7CB6B75_zpsj5uqqdbc.jpg) I've had this old shed door kicking about the garden for years. It was the old shed that used to be where gamesroom sits. I clad the door in a full sheet and made it the full sheet width to allow easier access in and out . ![](http://i1108.photobucket.com/albums/h401/ashley115s/Mobile%20Uploads/2016-06/E789FEEC-B14B-465B-8E0B-12BAD9274C55_zpspjn7eqxx.jpg) ![](http://i1108.photobucket.com/albums/h401/ashley115s/Mobile%20Uploads/2016-06/33C7F596-BCE8-4CF3-AE68-F0F8D034038E_zpsvbpt9xj1.jpg) Finished off with a bit of fascia which is just a small feather edge roughly jigsawed out to the roof profile. ![](http://i1108.photobucket.com/albums/h401/ashley115s/Mobile%20Uploads/2016-06/33C7F596-BCE8-4CF3-AE68-F0F8D034038E_zpsvbpt9xj1.jpg) Finally found a home for target practice man too. Gave the outside a good scrub cleaned the patio path off and trimmed the bush back. ![](http://i1108.photobucket.com/albums/h401/ashley115s/Mobile%20Uploads/2016-06/3D560643-EA2E-458B-B85B-C2ABE9B3D5C8_zpsvazopiqa.jpg) ![](http://i1108.photobucket.com/albums/h401/ashley115s/Mobile%20Uploads/2016-06/3D560643-EA2E-458B-B85B-C2ABE9B3D5C8_zpsvazopiqa.jpg) Plenty of room in there. Now I need to rack it out better but I need to do the floor first. ![](http://i1108.photobucket.com/albums/h401/ashley115s/Mobile%20Uploads/2016-06/3D560643-EA2E-458B-B85B-C2ABE9B3D5C8_zpsvazopiqa.jpg) Anyway I was in b&q and they had this shed ![](http://i1108.photobucket.com/albums/h401/ashley115s/Mobile%20Uploads/2016-06/6774529B-5EF0-4EB5-9C21-895287682A8E_zps7f58epst.jpg) Mines bigger taller and £124 cheaper!

There was loads of soil in the boot. Someone must have used it for tip runs and never hoovered it out properly! I pun some shards of glass too and it appears the nsr window has been replaced at some time as it doesn't have the reg number etched onto it like the others. This what most of a golf interior looks like! ![](http://i1108.photobucket.com/albums/h401/ashley115s/Mobile%20Uploads/2016-06/4B39910B-2A78-4406-8D07-44B7C6B24E17_zps7gx4nv2b.jpg) Found 90p in change under the carpets. So it cost me £219.10 now!

The golfs had the call up. Mechanic wants it in two or so weeks. So I better pull my finger out an get it ready for him. I haven't had time to pull the rear interior out so I didn't expect him to have time to fix it! I found a rust hole when I took the rear wheel off to have the tyre changed. It hadn't failed the mot on it but to be fair it was caked in mud right up there so I need to give it all a good clean like I did with ibiza. Maybe not quite so mad! ![](http://i1108.photobucket.com/albums/h401/ashley115s/Mobile%20Uploads/2016-06/EB68E31A-3C20-4809-89F6-DF51BEC5892B_zpsgkwon54t.jpg) ![](http://i1108.photobucket.com/albums/h401/ashley115s/Mobile%20Uploads/2016-06/23F721FE-E229-4CCA-BFD5-3BB555ED3A68_zpsv50gknlx.jpg) The opposite side is starting to go so a good clean up and some paint is needed. I thought I might as well pull the front interior out hints I'm at it. Then I know what's underneath it! ![](http://i1108.photobucket.com/albums/h401/ashley115s/Mobile%20Uploads/2016-06/ACACF1D6-3697-4A5E-8F46-E86614F88F92_zps87bsi9xp.jpg) God knows how this got so dirty? It's the centre console underneath the gear lever gaitor. It's disgusting! Car smells a bit funny so I'll shampoo the carpets and clean everything best I can ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) ![](http://i1108.photobucket.com/albums/h401/ashley115s/Mobile%20Uploads/2016-06/EE80F3C8-EF71-4231-A1B3-22BB5EF80388_zpssxgxac1j.jpg) Apparently he had a jack Russell. Well he must have lived in it, small white hair everywhere!

I sold my original beetle to fund my racing. Sold it for £2500 bought a trailer transit and a race car. The new beetle isn't rotten but it does have issues. Concentrating on the easy cars first beetle will be a bit of a longer restoration and more costly I'm sure!

I've covered a massive 19 trouble free miles in the ibiza! It's gone in to have the cam belt done. Guess what?! The eBay purchase is incorrect despite correct description! Motor factors... Unavailable! Also need a front wheel bearing.... Also unavailable! Damn old cars!

A few shake down drives before it goes back in for cam belt water pump etc. clutch is near the top and pressing on into a bend the front legs seem a but tired. Now do I get new legs and lowered springs or punto coil overs?

Not debris but I did find this in the skip at work today. ![](http://i1108.photobucket.com/albums/h401/ashley115s/Mobile%20Uploads/2016-05/2D4DF2F9-CAB6-4A79-909D-8DED59B3E1B6_zpsjwnfmlgj.jpg) ![](http://i1108.photobucket.com/albums/h401/ashley115s/Mobile%20Uploads/2016-05/6C40D387-B27E-413C-A1ED-866BF6085AE1_zps9a8wph2v.jpg) ![](http://i1108.photobucket.com/albums/h401/ashley115s/Mobile%20Uploads/2016-05/A57F55D5-1A11-4A57-B1BB-B7CA4D46123C_zpsdhphknsg.jpg) Bottom drawers missing, badge missing, hand in the fronts missing. Drawers work! Needs a clean job for tomorrow The fitter at work chucked it in there. Madness!

I cut the stainless steel mesh up layered it around the base. Hateful stuff. ![](http://i1108.photobucket.com/albums/h401/ashley115s/635EF1D7-87EB-4CA5-8CF5-B18ACF0DAA15_zpswrdptwzu.jpg) After pretty much completing that I just saw so many potential gaps for mice/ rats to get in I've abandoned the compost bin idea and now it's just going to be another shed! You can never have too much storage! It will be handy for storing car body panels etc/ bikes the sort of things you need to keep but jam your garage up!

I keep looking and adding and finding. The roof is now double the size as it means I won't have to it the sheets down. These roof sheets aren't easy to cut.

Well another bout of night shifts are upon me. The first week I spent mostly cleaning the ibiza. The second week I thought I better make good use of the daytime and complete some builds. I've been planning a compost bin for over a year now. I wanted a permanent one and to try and make it rodent free if there is such a thing? A neighbour gave me a roll of stainless stall wire mesh so I plan to use that in the base so the worms can still get in. No doubt the mice will still find a way! ![](http://i1108.photobucket.com/albums/h401/ashley115s/Mobile%20Uploads/2016-04/8E07D93D-CE7A-42BB-A932-766EAE4BD391_zpsqy3csqzr.jpg) This area is earmarked. I planned to use the whole width but then as always plans change. I need somewhere to store my wheelbarrows! So I'm building a wheelbarrow store on the side. Using any old material lying around for free obviously! I'm using old fence posts I've had lying around for the last ten years and the old roofing sheets that were on the gamesroom when we remove it. All joists and braces are off cuts from fencing jobs at work. Saved them from the skip;) ![](http://i1108.photobucket.com/albums/h401/ashley115s/Mobile%20Uploads/2016-04/AA72EA6A-7CCA-4CAE-A04D-A597948E7447_zpshecxdqmp.jpg)

Tfr neat left for 1/2 hour then jet washed off. Tfr. Traffic film remover. It's brutal on paintwork strips the wax of most things and leaves the paint dull. It's more for lorrys. It's not too bad watered down but I sprayed it on neat. It helped that the car hasn't had a hard life. I haven't detailed under the bonnet yet. It come up better when I polish it. The golf has been polished, the ibiza hasn't yet.
