RR bargain of the week.
A car that looked out of date when new, so looks cool now, and that low mileage, estate shape and nothing advisory history and decent ticket.

That’s really nice. Being the poverty level car, I bet it’s one if the few remaining to have leather too.

Reminds me of the old school ground joke - how do you double a Skoda’s value? Fill it with petrol! Not saying that’s the case here, but every time I fill my Jag up I think that’s doubled the value of the car! Loving the post.....keep up the good work! The best old school question on these is asking if the fuel tank leaks. They all generally fail way before the gearbox starts to limp!

I would love that. Smoke about in it for a few months and then let someone else enjoy it.

I do like a Mk1. Looks really tidy and a great colour too. I can’t see you having much trouble moving it on. Not many left in that condition.

Nicely preserved brick and an excellently written ad.

The owner has told me this sold very quickly.

I don’t need or particularly want this, but at that price I’m tempted. If only to annoy the neighbours for a few weeks.....

I fondly remember using mine to move house back in about 2000. With the rear seats down, these are surprisingly big. Nippy too, and sip fuel like a nun with a pint of bitter.
Looks a bargain.

Very, very nice. Stick a non date related plate on that and most would struggle to age it.

Bucket list car to scratch an itch, but a Mrs who’d beat me like a ginger stepchild if I turned up in it.

That looks to be an astute purchase for someone with the time and a bit of cash to get it sorted.
To think these were selling for 2002 Mondeo money not too long ago.

No MOT is irrelevant for parking on a public highway. As long it’s taxed and insured, then it can stay until either of those expire. It doesn’t stop them smashing it up though! MOT is needed if the car is 'used' on a road, parking is included in the definition of use. This catches quite a few people out. Agreed. But no council in the country will remove it unless it’s classed as abandoned (no tax or insurance), the DVLA can’t/won’t touch it if it has RFL and the police only care if it’s not insured. What I said stands - it can sit in place until tax or insurance lapses. Most cars over 40 years old are MOT exempt and many don’t bother with getting them tested. They’re still used on the roads.
