Yeah, I looked on there but found it to be like a HiFi forum. Unless its mega expensive its junk!!! The cheapest recommendation on there was an R-Tech welder which is just under £600, more than double the price of the Draper welder. I'm not looking for something to build a car with, just to weld the ocassional patch on it. I had a SIP MigMate 90, bought for £50 off a mate, blew holes in everything. After much thought and dithering I bought the RTech on 12 months credit. Wow, what a difference, even an occasional welder like me can make good welds on my 50 year old MG Midget, in my opinion it was worth the money, made making patch panels and glueing them in an enjoyable experience. It may be expensive, but worth it for the lack of frustration I had with the ancient SIP.

Has any one got an exhaust manifold for a Rover T series 2.0 NASP, I'm after the manifold from the head to the 2 downpipes. Must have all 4 studs that connect to the downpipes.
Think they are the same across the range so 200/400/600/800 and Landrover, part number LKC10060 or LKC10060L (for Landrover).

Looks good, but personally I think it's too deep. Can you not loose a few inches off of the bottom to line it up with garage wall and not the door frame ?
Edit - Ahh, too slow, see what you've done there at the bottom. Ignore me.

Then it was a good clean up of the garage and a bit of bench tidying before calling it a day. I find this helps massively when I've lost my mojo or am stuck on what to do next. Almost like hitting the Reset button.

I'll be interested in how you get on with this, I'm wondering if I could use one for the back of my MG Midget until funds allow for a full SS system.

I'm probably more guilty of asking questions than commenting about the build, I tend to use this thread as a 'How to' now I'm starting to paint my own project. I thoroughly enjoy reading all the updates but as has been said before I don't feel I can add much.
Anyway carry on with the excellent build and write ups, and I'll carry on reading and try to comment a bit more.

and driveshafts assembled & UJ's painted. What paint do you use for bits underneath the car ? I've been following the painting with interest and finally this weekend got some of my parts into epoxy primer, first time with a spray gun and really pleased with the results so far, now to add colour.

More wiring tonight, dashboard loom is now terminated with a 15 pin connector; What connectors are you using ? I'm putting a new loom in my MG Midget and need to join the front loom with the rear.

Inspired by this thread, I did get off of the sofa last night and do an hour in the garage. Mainly faffing but very rewarding none the less.

Can't believe the progress on this, I check in every lunchtime at work for a catchup. It's also a fantastic reference for where to get paints & fillers for when I start my MG in the summer.
I just wish I had the enthusiasm every night like you do to go out to the shed, hardest bit is getting off of the sofa and out of the door, once outside even an hour can make a difference.

Is there a way of finding out which car a plate was originally issued to ?
I have a 3 number/3 letter plate on the Coupe and have often wondered what it was originally issued to.

Thanks for all the replies. I found a MG TF being broken on Ebay and a quarter picture of the interior revealed full leather seats last weekend. A roadtrip later and I have a pair of TF seats to fit for a very reasonable price. They need a good clean but otherwise are in great condition.
