I don't post much but I polish/repair quite a few cars and looking at those pictures it looks like the exterior has been polished but they didn't do the door shouts etc. There doesn't appear to be any shine on the door shuts/bonnet boot etc and the exterior appears to have a shine to it. So I would guess that the exterior has had a machine polish not to long ago and it removed all the "dead" paint, if I was you I would get a heavy cut compound on a piece of foam and have a try on the door shut or somewhere out of the way. I think it will turn the same colour that has already been polished. French paint wouldn't remain shining for 20 plus yrs so somebody has done something to make it have two different colours. Irwin do a rounded bolt head removal socket set. I've used mine on plenty of rounded bolt heads and it's never failed. Cracking bit of kit and a must for anyone working on old cars/bikes etc Google is your friend, Irwin bolt removal should bring a few up. It's a two part kit, one set gets you 5 sockets and a plastic case but if you want all 10 sizes you have to buy the add on. Well worth the money though Cheers

I seldom post on here, more of a reader than poster, however I couldn't ignore the post you wrote regarding numbnuts. I sell a few cars on eBay and have come across a few ti** who try to push their luck, but I've never had someone test drive a car, twice, knock the price down and then decide he doesn't want it. I've a couple of thoughts on this, firstly I'd say he could well of wanted a part of it for a car he already has. He came to view it twice to get a relationship going with you. He was hoping because he'd spent an hour or two with you you would say yes to his request and take the car back and he ends up with a refund and a part, you might not notice he's swapped a part for a day or two, or secondly he had a buyer lined up for it, knocked you down thinking he could make a few quid selling it on and his buyer pulled out leaving him with a car he doesnt want. He bought the car sold as seen after two viewings so there is no comeback on you, also if he says x and y is wrong and he wants his money back. Before you even think about a refund you want an independent inspection doing on it, at his cost if he pursues a refund. If it was me, I'd tell him to sell it on if he's doesn't want it but there wouldn't be a refund heading his way. Hth

I think this is sorted now, gave them a good clean and found a part number, so managed to find out who made them. I've sent them an email so hopefully they'll be able to supply replacement parts. Cheers

Hi, I'm hoping someone out the in RR land can help me. I'm looking for some coilover nuts that are used for adjusting the height. Unfortunately I don't know the make. It is for the rears that I need them. I have measured the threaded section and it's approx 53mm. Will measure properly later. So inside diametre will be approx 53mm. I need them for both sides if possible. Happy to pay for them. Money waiting as I can't fit them until I can find some adjustment nuts. Or does anybody know anywhere that might stock them, I had a Google but it only threw up USA companies but I'm sure they can be bought in Blighty, any help in locating some nuts greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for any help. Geoff
