How easy is it to get a 2.0 turbo motor there a bit thin on the ground compared to A series turbo units are'nt they? Got 3 in my Garage 16v 2.0 turbo 200bhp straight out of the packet sounds like a plan.Anyone done this already or knows of someone, sounds too good to be true. T series will fit, but you need to mod the o/s engine mount and front cross member The 420ti has a shallow sump so it regarded as the easiest to fit User efi drive shafts, hubs and brakes or upgrade the brakes to mgf 4 pots with 16" wheels Its been done plenty of times over on www.triple-m.co.uk/phpBB/index.phpPic of T Series in Maestro img.photobucket.com/albums/v471/victorkish3/Enginebay-2007.jpg

Nothing to stop you chucking some metro turbo pistons in a Maestro block and adding a hairdrier, just the gains wont really be worth the cost of new bearings and gaskets compared to other engines
But should anyone wish to do it I have tons of spares and helpful advice on the old Maestro's if anyone wants to ask

A series turbo is only around 90bhp Even the standard 1.6 R, S series is nearly that at 85+bhp so whats the point, chuck an O T or VVC K series in it Sell the A series bit to raise money I've converted a few 1.6 Maestro's to O series turbo and it only requires 2 simple loom changes to do Ditch the carb fuel stepper for a manual choke Temp sensor needs extending and the reverse light sensor plug is different My old VDP O series Turbo www.chippers.me.uk/gallery/gooon/PICT0006.JPGwww.chippers.me.uk/gallery/gooon/PICT0007.JPG

Its worth having a firetrap if adding a breather below the piston height ie into the sump or lower block but its not a necessity
Its fine to run the breathers in a bottle under the bonnet, just looks curse word and don't forget to block any inlet to the carb though

I'm looking forward to the next series. It's a bit more down to earth than TG and features cars I could actually get a go in. VBH is a chuckle if not the worlds best presenter, Tom Ford makes me laugh, Tiff has been an idle of mine since back in the early days of TG when Tony Mason et al where on it. Also I love the fact it's in the ace. That place does the best fry ups and cups of tea in the whole world! Nick Can agree I'm afraid Personally I find VBH more irritating than a boil on me bum, Tom Ford is a bubbling bafoon and Tiff bores the pants of me ooo look I can slide the rear end out again and again and again - yawn The show looks and feels like a poor copy of TG which is a shame as TV really needs a decent car program that is not TG, even the name is a rip off of TG
