totally different to my raptor 700, on that there are 4 bolts on the swing arm to loosen then an adjuster bolt, but for what its worth i had to cut the chain off as no link, to replace with new, however a 50cc quad i would just remove 2 links to tighten it, bicycle chain link remover should cope with that?

the roll.on.off can alsop be powered by a winch and cables, which is quite common on trucks, may be easier to fabricate?

I have a Limelight one, I've a 318 in it at the moment but I also have a 'Cuda 383 engine and 727 box awaiting a rebuild before installing! I don't want to sell it but if the money was OK!!!! I'd have to think about it. I bought it years ago as a rolling shell and have been collecting all the bits and pieces to restore her to her former glory ever since.....Try me!! Kevin!!!! don't you dare!!!! you have to collect me from the airport in it in a couple of months!!!

Hi , This may be no help at all or it just may be the problem, years ago wife had a celica, we bought it cheap as it needed a bit of work, anyway long story short it had a driveline viration that was driving us mad, had a spares car, so i changed the diff, prop, g.box, mountings engine and g.box, everything i could think of over a period of a month or so and still couldnt track it down, only thing was it had a new clutch when we bought it so i had discounted that at first, as it was the only thing original from the time i bought the car i removed box again and had a damned good look at the clutch/flywheel, it was a remanufactured unit, looked absolutely fine!! so i changed the lot anyway for the one off the spares car which was about half worn, and the vibration disappeared!!!! don't know if this could be your problem, but seems to me you have changed everything else?

just spent an enjoyable hour reading the very first issue of retro cars!! anyway got me thinking, as i live in spain now, when i moved my mate kindly agreed to store all my car magazines, there are retro cars from issue 1 to around 24 street machine aeound 5 or six years worth same with custom car, some hot cars car, carand car conversions, car mechanicspractical classics and quite a few more!! please don't ask me to search for particular issues as i leave for spain agin next thursday and there are around 7 large boxes full of them!! they were all sorted into the various types but since it has been 4 years now they have all got mixed up as people read them, the only omnes i took to spain were my ppc mags again from issue 1, so onto the point, anyone interested in buying the whole lot? would be ideal for an area 52 type thing i would have thought? most are in perfect condition with a few slightly dmaged i.e ;loose covers or pages but these are in the minority they are in swindon for collection as said I'm here till next wednesday if it helps, offers around 65quid for the lot? don't know if that cheap or not though so hope its about right!!

did you get the red export plates then? or the yellow kürzzeitkennzeichen? There was an item on dutch TV about those plates recently, officially everyone outside Germany isn't allowed to drive with the yellow banded plates, but even the German government doesn't realy know how it works! And everyone can apply for them. A lot of dutch people I know use them to get cars to The Netherlands from the UK. The red banded plates where proper export plates and only to be used to drive a car out of Germany and to your door. Very, VERY confusing. agreed!! however we always get the red ones?

basically it goes something like this, you can buy, insurance online for export 2 types available 5 day cover and 30day cover and it is current all over, as you also have to get export plates from the local test centre, these will have a date on them in a small circle showing when the insurance runs out, when you apply for these plates at the centre you get issued a number you then walk around the corner and have the plates made, take them back to the person who issued you with them, and they complete the paperwork and put the date disc on the plate, they then destroy the german logbook as the car is officialy exported!! you then drive it home and park it up!! done it twice now, but my mate is actually german so that helps!! he does the talking i do the driving!! ;D
