UPDATE UPDATE
Greetings again everyone!!!
Well, e-mails have been flying back and forth between myself and Santa Pod, and as luckyseven suggested, the club passes will have to collected at the gate (thanks for that mate!!). It would appear that my application landed on some-one else's desk, other than Donna's!!!
So, some details need to be finalised, which I hope to post up tomorrow, then it's full steam ahead for the weekend. I WILL post up my mobile number as well, for anyone who needs to contact me direct. There is one thing that I do need help with, that is there doesn't appear to be any Retro Rides logos or banners available that we can use. If there is anyone out there that can assist with this dilemma, please could you let me know!! Well, the long range weather forecast for Sunday looks good, so let's hope for clear skies and happy times?
Regards, Pete

Yes, Fine by me!! Two totally classic and Retro motors. Had a 2.3 Mk11 Granny back in the day, whilst my mate had the 2.8 version. Neither of them ever let us down, with the 2.8 getting us to Munich and back!! As for Moggy Minors, Malc Longstaff should have his 3.9 V8 at this event. Believe me, it's damn quick!!!
Roll on the weekend!!!

Hi everyone,
I am getting a few queries regarding the Club Stand Passes. As you can all appreciate, I have stepped into this at the last minute. A request for passes HAS been sent to Santa Pod and I am awaiting a reply. Please bear with me, it's all new ground for me. It may be a case of distributing the passes at the event, if they do not arrive in time?
Regards, Pete

MEGA LIKE, Mark!! Don't read this month's Custom Car though. Guy built a Fordson in 7 MONTHS!!! Looks great, but I'm sure it's not a spot on yours and is not built with OCD. LOL!!! Catch up soon?

Yeah, guess it was a bit cheeky to even ask really! Just annoying to miss out on shows due to some fool smashing up my "proper" car. Still, guess I can always stick it in the public car park *shame*. In answer to the question, it looks like this, more or less, though the intercooler's a bit straighter now, lol I must admit, this looks the Mutt's nuts!!

Can bring along Opel Monza GSE, Cavalier SR or Celica Supra 2.8? Bring them all!! I have asked Santa Pod for 20 club passes and so far we are up to 5 cars. I am still waiting for HardCore and HotWire to get back to me to see if they have any Retro Rides banners or posters that we can display?

I honestly don't think my FB will be fixed through the insurance by then How insufferable would the idea of a '92 FD RX-7 on the stand be? I don't know how a '92 plate will be received, but the general consensus and ethos of the Retro Show flyer is: "Retro Show is open to all retro vehicles including cars, bikes, scooters and lorries from the 1950’s to the 1980’s" What's the feeling, people?

Hi All,
I have volunteered to have a crack at organising this year's Retro Rides Club stand at the Retro Show. The actual Retro Show is on Sunday 22nd June, however, I will be there for both Saturday & Sunday.
I have so far been in contact with Santa Pod and have asked for some Club Stand passes. Now the idea is to get approx 20 Retro Cars on the stand, so please could you show your interest on here. As in the past, I think it should be on a first come, first serve basis and of course, the cars should reflect our passion of RETRO Cars!!
So I will start the ball rolling with me @ my ride:

I really like this. I think it could do with a respray, either in white or as mexicansteve mentioned, anthracite grey. As for the rear side repeaters, get rid of them, they spoil the lines of the body!!!

Hi All,
I am hoping to help HardCore out this year with hosting the Retro Rides club stand at Retro Rides, as he will not be able to make it. I know that is in a bit late in the day as it is 3 weeks away, but really hope I can arrange some space with Santa Pod.
Please keep 'em peeled for any updates!!!
Regards, Pete

Hi Pete, it should be out by August or hopefully July. Already got insurance quotes on it, though they might go up after this weekend - got caught in a speed trap Oh Poo!!! Hopefully you can attend one of those Driver Awareness Courses and don't get any points. My misses did the same and she normally drives around at about 40 MPH, however, the speed guns got her at Sunningdale. So, if I hear any rumbles of thunder from the Slough area during July / August, I'll know it's only you!! LOL….

I reckon that this car is so beautiful and well presented, that I think that I may have soiled myself looking at the photos.
But buying this beauty is not to be this time around, as I've stupidly just spent the asking price on a trip to Vegas!!! Damn, I'm a crazy, misguided and emotional fool!!
Best of luck with the sale, some-one is gonna get a real bargain here. Whilst my hard earned dosh disappears in Sin City!!!! Such is life…..

Hi Mark,
I thought I could be a bit "particular" when building my wiring, but this is totally OCD !!!!
But if you're gonna do it, you best do it right, as I know from experience that poor earthing is the root of all automotive evil!!!
Top marks for the whole build, when do you hope to hit the pavement?
Pete

Being a middle aged old curse word, I've never managed to escape my fix of Custom Car, which is on prescription (yes, you read that correctly) along with Retro Cars and Practical Performance Cars.
I pay a visit to Facebook, MailonLine and this 'ere forum on a daily basis, with Fleabay as another regular haunt, especially when I'm in a spontaneous buying spree. YouTube is fun both at home and work (on my breaks, of course!!) and useful for downloading vids to my iPad.
Telly wise, it's Grimm, anything tattoo related, NCIS and CSi and some of the US car restoration / hot rod series. One programme I just can't tolerate is Chop Shop. Just how these two clowns haven't been "chopped" themselves is a bloody miracle!!!

Hi grifterkid,
What a bummer!!! I'm not gonna be able to make this one as i will be on the other side of the pond for our wedding anniversary.
I hope this meet is a success, as it's right on my doorstep, so to speak. Good luck.

Hi,
I always use the below kits from Summit. They have quite a variety of porting kits available and are so, so much cheaper than the rip off kits from Frosts, even when you take into account the P+P. Take a look at their web site, it's so tempting!!! Just ask Blackpopracing!!www.summitracing.com/int/parts/sum-g1060/overview/

I always used to buy mine from Machinemart, then Screwfix came along. Their Heathrow depot is only a couple of miles away, so tend to get them from here. Never had a problem , so far!!
