I haven't touched the Pinecone SG-1604 for a while. However, I just canibalised it's electrics to fit in my D12KM. So to keep it mobile untill I buy another set, or the brushless upgrade, I rooted through my drawer of parts that might become projects one day and dug out a brushless motor and (massively over size) brushless ESC. The motor is a rotating case affair, about the same size as the 380, but with a 3mm shaft. The original Pinecone pinion has been drilled out to fit and with a slight relief of the chassis it fits right in. With a bit more chassis jiggling around I have fitted a 3s pack, WPL servo and the reciever I was using in the green C34-1. I've only managed to run it for a few mins because it's been raining here most of the afternoon, but it doesn't seem as ridiculously fast as I was expecting - but that may be because the wheels were just constantly spinning - I have fairly small diameter solid drift tyres on it so it doesn't really get the power down, and I've sold the rally block because I never expected to use them! It does really seem to suffer from not having a gyro fitted, so that's the first extra to go on the shopping list.

I hadn't realised I got so far behind with this thread. I finished the 6x6 defender I posted a few pages back... Pretty much as soon as that was done it was sold. I've decided to slim down the collection, hoping along the way that I might be able to fund the purchase of a small old car. I've also sold the Red C24/34 based Defender that's pictured alongside the 6x6 above. Just prior to finishing the 6x6 I rebodied the Red twin motor C44, with a more stock style and rusty salt chipped paint effect. This one and the Troopy are also for sale, but it seem that forty series 'Cruisers are not popular with UK based RC buyers. The current plan is to take the Troopy body off that chassis and return it to its original wheelbase. There's an MN96 incoming that will get built in a more civilian caged style and mounted on the C34. The tyres from that will sell separately and I think I can pretty much get the rest of the money back from that by mounting a Vac formed Vanessa's Lunchbox body on that. I might do similar with another MN99S to rebody the twin motor chassis again. Of the two that will eventually be the ones that stay, the green leaf sprung C34-1 hasn't changed, but might get a now spare rear cab top painted green and returned to normal C34 style. The cab top has come from George's C34 that getting a revamp, with the fenderless cab, new paint and a plan afoot to scratch build a cage. The drinking straws are just to mock up the look. If you think you'd like the Troopy or Rusty FJ45 to be yours, please do get in touch!

@johnny69 Awesome to see these are still an ongoing project! I've neglected FS a bit recently but there have been a few things going on back over the Easter break. Give me a message about some cool wheel inserts for the Pendle wheels.

I have form with this sort of thing. I wasn't a fan of the soft roader styling of the earlier Demio myself, but there's no reason why it wouldn't work for you... I had a bit of fun with a Wagon R+ too. Always regretted not making more of a mini American van theme with this.

That's understandable man, hope you're in a place where you can get back on it soon.

After the multiple print failures earlier in the week I managed to get another pair of wheels printed yesterday evening. It sits on all four now.

Looks fun! (would not recommend watching with headphones; the slow-mo sounds nearly melted my head ) Yeah sorry, I do nearly everything on my phone with the sound turned down, so often forget to mute videos or add music.
