If your trolleys have decent castors, commercial carpet tiles wont be a problem. Ive moved 100kg+ across carpet tiles on a skate before and in reality I don't think its much different to someone on there wheeled office chair.
Carpet tiles are also normally patterned which should help hide any paths/walkways.

I presume the floor is concrete. If its soaking I would look at the drainage and surrounding ground levels. Its pointless insulating or heating a wet space.
Is there much overhang on the roof and is there guttering?
Is the slab the highest point? Is it larger then the footprint of the shed and do you have drainage around?
How does the wooden shed sit on the base?
Is there any ventilation?
Putting in a resin sealant or tiling may help the situation but I would be more interested in fighting the cause.

I'm not doing the usual revamp here, as I'm turning a double garage into my warehouse/storage/dispatch unit, but I'm looking to get a retro moped for tinkering with so it will have some garage use still It's 4.4m wide x 4.8m deep. There's no electricity unfortunately and will be too expensive to add it (plus no space for an outside box), so I'm looking at big battery packs like the Anker 767 for my power. Assuming there isn't a neighbour or 200m extension lead answer to your lack of electricity I feel keep transporting a 30+kg battery to charge will get old quick. The Ankers 2048wh is roughly equivalent to 170aH at 12v. I would loose the portability and spend the money on as much solar with a "static" batteries. Probably researching into what boat owners / "van lifers" do and possibly keeping everything 12v. If you have a solid, level and flat floor I cant see what putting down a plastic sheet and adding two layers of OSB is going to achieve, unless you really like Weetabix. I would prioritise the roof then walls for insulation whilst allowing for ventilation and just put down a mat where you stand/work the most. For the small portable heater, Ive heard many good things about the cheap chinese diesel ones but haven't got one myself. Hopefully some of that helps, but I'm not a expert. Nick

For the last 18 months I've been happily following in awe at your Fun on the Farm. But I'm not sure how to feel about the Panettone, hopefully the next update of mud, rivers and cold should have things back on track. What does it show ? I assume Robert has two Strings (circuits/branches/) of solar panels. The two green lines indicate the energy they have generated throughout the day, with the blue being the total energy generated at any point. But I could be wrong, normally when graphs are involved I miss something obvious.

Sorry if this has been mentioned before but I've just had a read through the thread and can't see it. I think this "We can't find the page..." thing is stopping me from logging in. When I fill in my username and password (it autofills from a password manager but I don't believe that's relevant) and press the return key I get this. The only way I'm logged in now is by switching to a Private Window and then logging in which gets me the magic... ...page. But at least I can get passed that. It's been going on for a few days, maybe a week or so. Only just worked out how to get past it. I'm on Safari on a Mac but the way. Oh, and thanks to whoever suggested Private / Dark / Naughty mode somewhere above. James It did the same for me, but I found it was because it was trying to log me in to retrorides.proboards.com I found going to forum.retro-rides.org/ fixed it.

This happened several times today, on a w10 pc using firefox and on an android tablet with chrome. edit: Even now when I tried to post this post. edit 2: And after I edited it to write the last sentence. edit 3: And again edit 4: again... guess what I give up, it now happens permanently. Ditto, but only when trying to open threads from notifications/participated menus...? Same issue, I found it is adding a ,/ after retro-rides.org manually deleting seems to have fixed it for now. Two different PC's. Nick

A spreadsheet itemising each cabinet/drawer/box is the answer for an inventory, but is time consuming before you start including pricing.
Personally, partly for memory but mainly for insurance reasons take a quick video of my "stuff" each time I have a tidy up (not that often). Any boxes/drawers that are similar have a number/letter and I just walk round pointing and talking for 5 minutes listing what's what. I also do a separate video for just a roll cab or something with lots of items I find two five minute videos more useful then one ten. You could do something similar and include values.
Pricing tools is also hard. For powertools you could write the purchase date and price on the case/box with masking tape, or a description of anything thats not obvious.
But if the situation arises will it be used. I find selling my own items I'm interested in a painful experience. Dealing with a loved ones collection I would prefer guidelines. What to pass down and sell individually, together or as a job lot. It would hopefully make the sentimental side easier.
Have you had a conversation about what Mrs RapidYellow would want to do, or how you would deal with her collections. I'd doubt whether you get £20 or £100 for something is at the front of your minds.

As above, the bottom banner is painful. Chrome 1920x1080 14" Laptop W10, also use a W7 laptop with the same letterboxing. Changing the zoom decreases the banner at the expense of text size. Also closing the side menu took me longer to work out then Id like to admit.

At risk of sounding daft, is that not just a 6 hole bolt pattern without the sixth hole. If you measure the PCD and hopefully it should come back as a generic size.

Just read through and the quality of work bringing back the body is something you should be proud of. I'm guessing you'll be finished by Christmas.
Thanks for posting, even though it highlights my own procrastination.

Impressed with the "M" who knew a turbo V8 was the answer to reliability.
Whilst your living the dream, the only bit I can relate to is "squeezing out the lumpy liquid , like a space station wannabee". Sadly on more then one occasion.
Thanks for posting your escapades, and glad everything's coming together.

Thanks for the updates, always enjoy seeing your updates. If the combo is like a connect or caddy there may be a footwell space hidden between the two sliding doors. It always seems a waste of space to me just for ease of a flat floor. I've always thought it would be nice to have some factory draws/bins either side, but for the camper I'd imagine the heater one side and water tank the other. Then again a combo might be different. A like that's not a like, nothing worse then having to move things more then once. Hopefully you keep the Mojo up and continue playing Tetris as I'm enjoying the updates this side of the world.

As you haven't actually made it far enough down I wont take offence.
But I'm pretty certain even the old maps you have oop North still have Greenwich in the centre.

Sometimes I wish I was born the wrong side of the river, so I could share those rose tinted glasses.
Still looking forward to this as I share a similar dream/goal/ethos whatever you want to call it, and hopefully if this is as well written as the rest of your posts it might just right the North/South price disparity. Or atleast be a great thread.

6 months ago I had a similar thought and ended up buying a Bahco S106 set. Admittedly it has some bits I will never use but was still good value at £104. I've just had a look and the cheapest currently is £114 but with black friday coming up I'm sure there will be a discount code.
I've only had it 6 months so can't really comment on longevity but the sockets are good quality and I'm happy with it. The orange handle does discolour though and the allen keys/screwdriver bits I don't use but will still recommend.
Those sealey premier sockets sound like a good deal at 15-20 a rail, and theres nothing wrong with the halfords stuff.

I would recommend buying second hand. Although beware it can become addictive. Most older tool boxes are over engineered and as long as kept in a dry environment neither deteriorate or depreciate.
