Congratulations!
That is a lovely looking thing.
My weird eye noted the EV-Cargo truck side in the background, made me smile.
Your mum’s approval is a bit win in my book.

Morning,
Raining a lot here.
That looks a lot of good to me.
And using the hood, standard pieces gives you a head start on finishes as you have less prep and finish, but more sweating and praying to do,

While I was over at mate Darren’s engineering shop to get some steel for Paul Y to build a restoration rotisserie I noticed this car he is currently building. 3.5l V8 Ally block Rover. The rest of it weighs almost nothing as well. He was saying that just test driving it locally on some private land was “Interesting, scary” ![](https://hosting.photobucket.com/images/mm90/niknakpix/A541FDB9-F01F-465A-BC2A-5199A68080D9.jpeg?width=1920&height=1080&fit=bounds) ![](https://hosting.photobucket.com/images/mm90/niknakpix/05F83253-022B-451C-BFD4-4AB0A60D5624.jpeg?width=1920&height=1080&fit=bounds) So it will be run at Pendine Sands in Wales at the next beach races. Check out on GOOGLE if you want to see more. It is along the same theme as these races in France: CLICK LINK FOR PHOTOS: forum.retro-rides.org/thread/225827/normandy-beach-races-2023-photosLooks a great day out. .

Many miles and smiles = memories …. Absolutely. And as pegasus said to me before, many guys will only ever get to do these trips by proxy through my eyes. The smiles I get are great to share, if they make a difference in someone’s day, or perspective of America , which really is an entire cosmos in one place. Weird-ish Segway for those who travelled this way before. This is the Car craigrk went down the motorway with Dennis in a few years back. Last night this happened. And later…… roof sound deadening fitted. Dennis also invited me to come over for a few weeks. After all, interviews can be done remotely, by Teams/FaceTime/Zoom. His comment: You can take this apart, I ordered new coil over shocks new rotors brakes and control arms. Who knows……. I may just look into flying out again, second trip for the year. Watch this space.

We have been paying attention at the back Summer safety bar roof may have been donated by a sand coloured LR. Looked a bit 'fat' and aftermarket. Inspired by Grizz and these: After some rough as a 🦡 bum prep And a can of rattle black we get: As a proof of concept before swapping to the hard top for the winter. Very happy with that James Close up. James NICELY DONE. THE BIG THING I LIKE ABOUT FORUMS, IS THE LEARNING AND HAVING REFERENCE POINTS. Sorry, caps lock. Anyway, I still “owe” you a parcel. Not yet got my finger out on that.

Sorry about the lemon, I may be on a similar roll right now, but too early to decide.
However……
I love the colour…..
Gotta have balls for that…..
But you don’t see the colour when driving it, and people will move aside, respectfully, as they expect old giffer skills.
I would as you know, choose that car happily, based on the colour being one I have never ever laid eyes on.
Loads of them in very pretty, or bland colours.
I would expect this one to have had a good life.
Good luck on your ownership.

Thanks. Nice work on the seats one quick question what are your plans with the floor in the back ? leave as is or make it one level ( hope that makes sense ) Storage and a flat floor, need to find some nice dark/black automotive carpeting to cover the plywood sheet. Yesterday ended up a bit corporate. I had not done expenses since July, and that includes daily mileage claims. Thankfully I am a bit weird, as I actually do keep a daily, written mileage logbook of my own in the cars door pocket. But every trip has to be entered from postcode to postcode for the whole day, so minimum three lines of entries. Departure, arrival, return destinations, get why it is a ball ache Today it is all my parking, and other expenses from August on to next week when they collect all the IT stuff. Posting up, video editing, all the stuff I use the company iPad for will cease. As I do not own an iPad or such to work/play on. It sounds like it's the TMC Mileage Consultancy you are using. Painful to use but effective and is always fun "adjusting" it to suit! Regarding the Astro side decals, the van imho looks awesome as it is, being void of any decoration. It's simplicity is it's attraction and as it stands now, just smacks of modified sophistication. Sometimes decals etc can cheapen the view. Correct. TMC. My written daily logbook, since 2002 works well. Astro decals were just an example. Caddy is getting some cammo decals and stripes. Hmmmm, well mostly. Grinning and gloating are true rewards for a victory Ttfn Glenn Absolutely Glenn. The parts you do not get to see is my teeth ground down to stumps with the frustrations. Went to see Darren in Queenborough today, to buy some steel on behalf of Paul Y to build one of these….. pic below. Darren refused payment, but requested payback. Now we know payback will always be a bigger pain than to pay your bill and run for the hills. This is the Car craigrk went down the motorway with Dennis in a few years back. Last night this happened.

I know what my wife would say if I bought that home with a bow on it for her… 🤣 This is a big Karma story…… And here’s how it goes.
