Managed to get abit more done, to get around having alot of the engineout of the bonnet and to give the car a more agressive look its getting lifted looking good up in the air i love billet aluminium as subframes are being dropped/lifted 2" i have to spacer the shockers out too but ive go for 2.5" on them few rough calcs to measurements and offsets for bolts 2 of these 2 for other side offset by 5mm and weld together, aluminium offcut used to space the gap so it doesnt go too far out of spec bracket in place, ignore the major angle as subframe was still at stock height Front lifted up Bit of sketchy work on the go, rear gas shockers welded with shocker covered in soaking rag and bucket dunked to stop it blowing up in my face, as i wanted to extend it and keep the brackets the same making face inner distance had to finely tune the angle of the brackets with a hammer and use the new brackets bent into the opposite direct (works perfectly) Welded on the inner edges and puddle weld on the bolt hole, spacer there again to keep correct making face distance Boxed in partly, rest left for suspension arm clearance Rear lifted, can almost get my head completely in rear arch Looking good and so is the car, roof rack sits at around 5 ft 5, will drop down a little bit with all the weight in, will be measuring up for custom spings the joys lift kit is 80% done few issues with rear subframe's front locators and other shocker and to lengthen the steering column an inch as lowering it has also moved it away Ash

Wedding and recovery day out of the way with some noggin joggin on the go for bonnet clearance don't have imperal nuts so bit of tape to space stuff out, jaaaaaaaag v12 engine mounts for engine to subframe had the upper ones laser cut as there generic, made 2 lower and 4 mid plates by hand all 5mm tacked in other side bit of hot snot sump to rack clearance , engines on the curse word here as had to lift the engine up with forklift to pull the spacer out and didnt but it on the blocks level a not so pretty one, laser plate has some coating on it, will have the back section boxed in for strength As for bonnet clearance while its like this I'm going to do a lift kit on the body ether 1 or 2" depending in rack column length Ash

she'll be good with just a whiff of a bonnet bulge! Got to love a good power bulge This is gonna be such a monster. I love a 6bt and how such an old agricultural lump can be so capable of mahoosive power not so much power just the buckets full of torque Is that engine really classed as being in? It's mostly out! 20% at most will stick out when the bonnet is on sorta Please tell me that this will not flout any vehicle weight rules and will be on the road?! I'd love to see this bombing down the motorway with a giant whip aerial flailing behind it. You've got... err... vision! weights should be fine, shall be going up and down the uk motorways more than likely with a trailer too Ash

easter weekend can get lil bits done between my sisters wedding and a now cancelled MFN Car is actually being moved out of the lockup had 1 good day last week so cleaned the end of the crank up from sitting and cranked the crank oil seal, bellhosuing cleaned and put on, new flywheel arp bolts clutch and some DIY dowels installed gearbox is knackered popped top off full of rust and mayo, so ive essetially with the other useless parts paid £250 about 10 times the amount for a bellhousing and some scrap testing the chain and sling (reslung it after this) cut cut and when it touches cut it some more, still have to trim the scuttle panel more, wiper mech doesnt fit now tho As a great man once said, first time tight, second time alright, sat on the subframe with a thick rubber spacer and jack under the back, will level and square it up and make all the mounts Only slightly proud of the bonnet Ash

Awesome! That engine is a monster. What do you think the handling will be like? :-) AL. Shouldnt be too bad rear will be weighted down abit some questions to think about 1 what is the front axle weight limit for a mk4 supra ? 2 what will the engine gearbox and all ancillaries weigh on full fitting ? 3 what does the front axle weigh now ? 4 what is the gvw of a mk4 supra ? 1.no idea 2.630kgish wet 3. no idea 4. no idea some questions to think about 1 what is the front axle weight limit for a mk4 supra ? 2 what will the engine gearbox and all ancillaries weigh on full fitting ? 3 what does the front axle weigh now ? 4 what is the gvw of a mk4 supra ? And more importantly, what's the power and torque figures of the 6BT?? Figures for the engine out of the factory untouched is 250hp and 620 ft lbs BORING. It's never going to be anything more than a "why not" project, let the man have his fun. This is going to be awesome. Exactly I have been delayed with work and fixing other peoples cars on the weekends, big delay has been let down again on a gearbox, cant please some people offering them full asking price and will collect it smh If i get delayed any more il try and test fit the engine worst case in the uncoming bank holiday weekend (around my sisters wedding too) Ash

Minor update, just been flat out in work Engine off the trailer next to the supra built a frame for the engine and box to be built up, even heavy duty rubber castors have a flat bottom on them, working through little niggles of wrong bolts etc for the parts that are going on the engine, sump removed to find i have the wrong new one so flipped this one around knocked a few dents out and put the new pickup ans seals on, dipstick moved to rear of engine (for sump) still need to change rear change oil seal put the bellhosuing on and source a new gearbox ( have my eye on one) then can put in in the car for good not one of my best sides imgo Slam panel has been drilled out of the car and i shall make it bolt in for ease of access friends keep saying to vlog it, what you lot reckon? Is it worth getting a ‘genuine’ CE sticker for the tow bar in case anybody official (and officious) takes an unhealthy interest ? Just a thought, nice progress, what’s the timeline now? James timeline is sooner the better, il leave the Chinese excrement sticker off for now, those kind of people generally cant tell from elbow round my end Ash

popped down to my mates, hand drilling stuff is too hard aye, cnc machine to drill up the towbar ball spacer as its that critical wiring ran to the anderson connector, both 35mm cabling bumper and spoiler on for good can see the tinted lights too, anderson connector will be hidden under the flip up numberplate with the spacer made up all bolted on together for good, incase anyone is wondering towbar consists of 50x100x5mm box with a 10mm drop plate fully welded and a 60mm ball spacer with 2 extra 5mm twist flanges to the chassis, in total 6 m8(12.9 grade) bolts, 2 M8 nyloc nuts, 1 m10fine bolt and 1 M12 fine bolt holding it to the end of the chassis so i should be able to pull some weight. Week or so later, few bits more done and wallet much lighter, still no sign of engine New clutch 14" in diameter rated for 500hp and 800 ftlbs, turns out i have the wrong style flywheel so had to buy a new "older" style one my wallet is hurting rear crashbar and towbar made up as i want to get the rear done, 5mm box 5mm legs and a 10mm plate having a power take off under numberplate that will flip up so i can plug in a set of jump leads both light bars are on, going to tint them both, basically messed the bottom one up so i will strip them down and take the lense out to do them No picture but i have painted the rear bumper done the numberplate lights on them but waiting on a trim clip pack to show up (lost first time via curior and now snow delay) so pretty naff Ash
