Nice car,I've owned a Mk4 Estate for the last 11 years!!
Mine is just the Zetec 2.0tdci,but they really are a decent car, mine was 3 years old when I bought it. I really don't know what to replace it with when the time comes. Mine currently has 316,000km on it.
Nice to see one on here.

Wow,the guy has some neck.
He was vocal enough when parts and suppliers didn't reach his standards(the inner wings come to mind) but when his own work is held up to the light and shown to be less than perfect he throws his toys out of the pram. Hypocrite.
Looking forward to seeing the car finished, will the current repairer take photos as he rectifies this?

That is shocking!! I enjoyed the thread thoroughly, and thought he was a genuine craftsman,I still think he is a decent body repair man,but not as good as he would like you to believe. How did the damage occur after the shell was painted? If he was true to his word and made good the wing, none of this damage to his reputation would have happened. I most certainly wouldn't be happy if I had paid out quite a substantial sum of money for that bodge. Hope you get it sorted and enjoy that lovely old Ford.

This is a sad time of year. My wee son never made it alive into this world. He'd be 15 now. To sort of occupy myself at this time of year I run an event. I give the proceeds to the Irish Kidney Assoc, local branch. It was lack of kidneys that did for him. This year I had to move the thing to a bigger hall and if most who say they are coming do actually come it'll be much bigger than before. I'll do a wee event report here next week. As usual, More as and when..... Hope the weather we are supposed to be getting this weekend doesn't have a negative effect on this.
