Far better to be overworked than underworked - it shows you're good at what you do.

Congratulations! It's no mean feat to have demand outstripping supply, you must be doing a good job.

Could it be rearranged so banding is by appointment to limit the workload?

Can you find another welder for a bit until the usual guy is less busy? Steve's welding is immaculate if you did that for a while they'd have massive standards to live up to. Matt

Should I feel guilty about our chance meeting at the Bromley Pageant that led to all this? Well done on a great job so far.

If only I'd had the cash (yep, that old chestnut ;D) then my van would have had some steels in the back when I picked up the engine last week. I'm guessing (hopeing) by the time I've rebalanced my Cortina spend up the banding will be back on track. Can't see that Steve will ever be wanting for work with those welding skills.

Can anyone find the original thread with the big long discussion that showed banded steels were legal? I know a top flight pro welder who might be persuaded to buy a bigger lathe should he see there's a decent market for these things, he already builds loads of old school race cars. I've had a search but can't find it, while James was sorting them out i've not mentioned it to him but if there will be agap in the market for a while, i'm sure me mate could fill in and get a bigger lathe paid for out of it.

Volvo back as my main squeeze, more boost and some interior goodies on the way.

Wouldn't be a certain tall bloke with little hair and glasses would it?..usually found smoking whilst infront of a pc
