get a thread up lad ,its cathartic lolz. would love have the power of the dj lump, drove the PO of mines 2.1 caravel, cant believe mine and it can be the same kind of vehicle!! mines the slowest thing ive EVER driven, slower than the 1600 aircooled.. its ridiculous. plans are affoot, but I'm torn between 2.0 8v petrol and aaz td. forget the AAZ, it is just trouble... take the 2.0l petrol and you are fine, indestructable engine and fits almost p&p .... the 2.0l petrol is the most popular conversion over here atm, these engines are cheap as chips due to our scrappage scheme ... i am really tempted to convert my transporter with this engine , as i am fed up with the engine trouble....

Yep, I'd go with that, a mate has an AAZ fitted, and everytime I see it it's leaking oil or diesel and generally sitting at the side of the road. The golf Gti engine should be pretty straightforward as it's pretty much the same lump as the diesel I think! There will be a thread up in the next couple of days just need to pull my finger out of my !!

Holy thread revival So, any news Jizzy? Mine looks like this at the moment..... It's in the garage, 95% of the welding is done, just need to crack on with it
