I knoww this is pushing it a lot. But I have an exhaust and a set of drive belts that I'm buying from Born. If anyone is coming over in the next month could they consider picking them up and bringing them. Deliver either to my home address near Aberystwyth or to Uni in Coventry. I don't mind UK postage if that all that can be done. International on such a large item is going to be interesting.

i'm going to drive through the UK in 2 weeks. But i'm going on holliday, so i've got 3 people in my car + luggage for 2 weeks. Drive belts wouldn't be a problem, but the exhaust.. And I don't think I come by any of the 2 cities  If they exhaust isn't too big... i'm taking the M20-M25/M4 route from Dover to Pembroke, so if anyone can take stuff from me somewhere along that line, it could be done i guess. Mind that i'll probably leave the Dover docks at 4am though ;D |

Hi Thomas,
If you're heading to Pembroke, you'll be going right past Bristol. I am more than happy to open up Area 52 for you & your friends to stop and have a rest etc...you're always welcome at A52 ;D
Please feel free to drop any items off at the unit too if that helps anyone out?
Hope you are well and I hope I get to see you when you (briefly) pass Bristol.

i don't know if my parents would like A52 (i'm taking them on a trip they always wanted to do), but it could be an option. I wouldn't mind a little rest, but all depends on time, we need to be in the docks at 2ish i believe, and probably take the night boat to the UK, so there should be enough time (i want to be past London before the big traffic jams are on, at friday  , i'll be driving on the 30th of march). Now the only thing i need to know is... how big is the exhaust we're talking about, if i can fit it in the car, i'd be more then happy to pick it up for Paul and deliver it at A52. |

Now that could be very usefull as I am going down to the Ilse of wight on the 30th so will be going past A52 aswell. As for the exhaust it is a fair size but will come in 2 pieces or cut into 3 with an adaptor if posted which could be done for transporting as well. Its all near enough straight pipe before assembled so should be fairly easy to accomodate. chears there should be all the info you need to find the place here. I struggle as my dutch is near enough non existant dafhobby.nl/pages/daf_en_volvo_variomaticpag.htmlive included a diagram of the exhaust system part 2 and 3 are what I need and part 3 will be split into 2 for transportation.  To give an idea of scale the silencer part 1 sits roughly under the steering wheel and obviously the exhaust runs to the back. The car is roughly 4 metres long Paul |

About a metre I reckon its roughly the same length as the car door. Sorry ive lost my tape measure otherwise id measure it.

the boot of the Chaser is pretty big, i reckon i can get it in with all of the rest of the holliday gear, especially if the rear part is split (i guess at the first bend, so you end up with 2 straight pieces ). If you arrange the ordering/payment of it all, then i can go and pick it up and deliver at A52 if Bruce is around on friday the 30th of March! |

Yes I can pay all in advance and then get danny (dafhobby.nl) to organise a mutually good time for both of you.
However with the 3 people and camping gear for a weekend that is going to be in my Triumph. I don't know how well it will fit in mine so Bruce would you mind if I picked it up from A52 on the return trip 4th of May.
