Ive been offered one of these beasties , its a 1966 manual with overdrive , its had 3 grand spent by a previous owner ( not the current one ), with receipts on new sills etc and i have to say the workmanship is excellent , runs sweet , everything works ,Paintwork isnt the greatest TBH and its a light grey in colour , Its fitted with TR6 15 inch rims , MOTed til Sept , tax is July but free , however he wants £1800 for it , too dear or a bargain  |

My mum, carrying me learnt to drive in one of these and it looked great in all the pics I've seen. Quality motors, look and sound great, if it's decently sorted the money sounds about right in my not very learned opinion  . Triumph froum sounds a good bet  |

Great motors. They can also look great with subtle mods if that's your thing.
Buyers Guide in a Retro Cars from a couple of years ago I seem to remember.
If you don't want it, get some pics anyway, one of us might ;D

I worked next to a guy who had served his apprenticeship on Triumph (Really!)
He said they were prone to rear wheel bearings if they were neglected at service time and the gearbox is apparently a pain in the ar*e to remove.

I doesn't sound like a bad price to me if it's as tidy as you say it is. I'd love one myself, I can imagine that they make a great daily driver.    |

I ran one as a daily for near 2 years, it was a 63, auto, maroon with cream roof.
Loved it, wish I hadn't sold it but hey ho ..

Called the bloke up this morning , its mine subject to a better look and a proper test drive , A readers rides thread with piccys will start when i get it in a couple of weeks or so .

Now I wonder can I justify letting Bruce my 1300 persuade me into letting him go and meet his big sister. If you can bring it up to the International Triumph show and spares day at stonleigh on the 7th of march I think it is.

Thanks for all the replys , getting a bit excited now after seeing these piccys , Yellow one looks fantastic ( doesnt matter which one either ) , shame mines Grey , still its a blank canvas ready for some treatment

Lovely cars, i have few friends who are in to these big time,, got loads of spares in stock to last a life time,, they have rover V8 powered them and also fitted Montego diesels in them
