yep, stock ECU. and its manual using a W57. there is a company here called "A1 Turbos" that makes bellhousings and flywheels for 1UZ's. i bought everything i needed for the manual conversion from them. all the information you will need to get your 1UZ running is on a forum called lextreme (http://www.lextreme.com/forums/). its a very good forum for all aspects of the 1UZ. search there and you'll find everything you'll need.
good luck with your swap, its definitely worth it, the 1UZ is such an excellent engine, especially in something light.

Mike went and got married, and the boss and i had the honor of driving the bridal party to the wedding. the bride's dad drove Mike's car and we drove my two. my car is purple, not black. was pretty cool. outdoor wedding with a big driveway so the whole crowd got to see us roll up. had a choice time. and afterwards someone gave me a beer!! closely followed by many, many others (after we put the cars to bed for the night of corse) Mike will have better photos but you get the idea... sheepers.

people often say to me "say sheepers, it looks like you've got a whisker of room under that front guard, why don't you run 9's?" and i say "thats a curse word brilliant idea, ill get onto it posthaste!" so i did. front = 17 x 9 +17 with 215 40 17's back = 17 x 10 0 with 245 40 17's NO mods to the car other than lipped guards, and the plethora of suspension mods and custom made bits but in theory, you too could bask in the glory. as per usual, my photo taking skills are aids but I'm sure someone who sees it in person will confirm the pure awesomeness that is 9's on the front of a celica. BEHOLD! sheepers.

HOw on earth did I miss this? Just awesome! Really nice conversion, factory looking, well engineered, excellent concept, its like they should've made them like that. Got the sound to go with the looks, and I approve of the power steering etc, I plan on building a car like this at some point when I've done some of my other projects.
Is that like the engines they have in the Lexus? If so, quite cheap in UK now.

Damn. Been wondering what the story was with this since you disappeared off OS. Such a sweet car. Love it, and I really should come see it sometime. How's the MS51? I'm almost ready for another project if you've got too many cars Cheers Matt
