Evening all, need a mojo boost. Had the MX5 for 12 days and it's in the garage already The alternator packed up yesterday. Should have it back tomorrow though (if i can get there through the snow ;D) So, ideas for cheap wide rims for it to cheer me up. I hope to get it dropped a few inches in the spring, so looking for 13-15's ideas, 14's would prob be ideal as i could carry over the tyres but then 15's are cheaper on the rubber Anyway, heres a pic of it Any photoshops would be cool, am thinking that getting the stock steals banded out to 7 1/2's or 8's would be pretty cool, but for the cost of getting the work done and painting them, are there other options that would look better?? Cheers Craig

Porsche 924 - gone Citroen Saxo VTR - not very retro but I loved it - now gone... MK4 Golf GTi 1.8T - gone but hardly remembered... Mini Cooper S R53 - gone BMW 125d Coupe - gone (mostly sideways)
Ford Focus RS Mk1 - hello low MPGs and "wanna race me" at every set of lights... 1973 BMW 2002 - Twin 40's, 284 Cam, Revolutions, E21 Recaros + more Porsche Cayman 987 3.4S - here and due to cost me more money than I have

Would love most of the rims there, but sadly they are way out of my price range Funny though that telidails came up, i have a set of 15's in the garage.......... When i finally get photoshop across to my new mac from my old one i might have a play. But banding is my current fav.

I want a set of the XXR (most of the wheels in this thread) wheels for my E21 but it's pretty much an import job to get them in the UK. For cheapness you could fit BMW E30 wheels, MiMs etc etc

I like Work Equip '03's myself but uber pricey! Am off to have a nose at teledials myself now though! Oh and apparently MX5's hate 13" wheels and perform best on 15's no comment on that as I've not tried but so say the internet gods..

13's would be only really done for looks rather than handling, might have too about borrowing a set of 13x8's for a giggle (although they woudl look a bit strange with the stock ride height ) What size tyers are on Robs? 185/60's? If you want to actually try a telidail, i'm not that far away from you and they are in my garage at home Going to be a few more days till I get mine back, alternator is done, but the rad needs flushing and the pipes are frozen at the garage doing the work
