Thanks matey I've had a couple of weeks off work, getting it ready for the MOT - which I'm pleased to report it passed today Unfortunately, I gave up trying to keep this thread updated, as I had to resize the pics on photobucket, one at a time, which became quite tedious. I have kept it up to date over on Scimitarweb though, if anyone fancies a read (the pics resixe themselves to fit the screen there - it's too hard to read here Page 13 onwards picks up where it ended... www.scimitarweb.co.uk/sgwrs/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=3569&start=180Cheers, Mike.

Morning all - I thought I'd bring this up to date a bit (it's much better now you don't have to resize images). The detail is still all over on Scimitarweb, but here's a quick summary... I finished rebuilding the front end - Every piece of metal was painted with POR-15. The Hammerite used at the back end wasn't such a good idea unfortunately. All back together - It went through another MOT - minor advisory of play in a track rod end (long story as to why a rebuilt front end had a worn part fitted to it) I swapped all the bezels on the gauges for chrome ones - Took it to a few shows - curing oil leaks - painted the sump while it was off - Found bits of fibre timing wheel in the sump - evidence of a failure in the past - I shipped the front off and swapped this - for this (for peace of mind) All back together - Around this time I also changed a all the wiring to the starter motor area - it was slow to turn over. problem caused by crusty wiring next to the exhaust. Wifey bought me this for Christmas (2 years ago) It's lovely, and really compliments the chrome bezels Out for a run... Another show - New fuel pump - the old one let me down, resulting in a tow from the AA (with heat proof gasket to help prevent fuel vapourising) Bought a set of Wolfies - 14inch, but 7" wide :8 with a set of stainless nuts and collars (these are real nice!) Wheels fitted (a bit high on the front, it had just come down of axle stands) New gearbox seals fitted this week - All back together now - And another pic of how it stands today - So there it is - a years progress summed up in 5 minutes, lol. Cheers, Mike.
