Just your bog stock mid '80's Saab 900 turbo T16S (has the aero kit and 3 spokes) . But I really do want to get back to my driving roots with a sorted tweaked Skoda Rapid, even if it does mean losing all the electric toys the Saab has and losing between 80-100BHP.

I have a 1962 Peugeot 403 which is undergoing a gearbox replacement, a 1970 Pug 404 which is not yet on the road, and I used to drive a 1980 Pug 604 but it is off the road and has been vandalised. I would like to catch them. Grrrrrr.......
The family transport is a highly modified 1969 Ford Transit which has had the V4 junked and a 4.1 litre Australian Falcon alloy head crossflow inline six fitted, along with the matching 4 speed gearbox and diff ( about a 3.55 ratio instead of the original 5.14)and disc brakes up front. It flies up hills in top gear now, and leaves trucks WAY behind, where it used to be overtaken by overloaded trucks. The only thing I want to do now is improve the handling, as it handles like a sack of potatoes. Maybe a Bedford CF IFS would be easy to fit. When it is fully loaded the only way to make it handle at all is to run 45 psi in the back tyres. I think the previous owner fitted car springs at the back.

I've got 2 competition Mini's, not road legal.
Then a 106 xsi as an everyday car, pocket rocket, shame its FWD though. I need a 105e/mk1 escort as a weekend fun car and then just run an old diesel in the week!

Well... car number one is my much-loved 83 Alfasud Ti Green Cloverleaf.... a few mods, nothing too extreme, had it for four years now and still not sick of it! Plus its unique, and is good for keeping the rice-boys in their Hondas honest!
Car number two... an 81 Toyota Starlet KP60, bought this for the princely sum of $100NZD, now its road legal and all it needed was a set of 155 SR12 tyres... which cost me 70 bucks fitted! Its a barrel of fun, RWD and all, although a wet road is needed for real white knuckle fun!

Here's the Transit. The 4.1 crossflow was a curse word to fit in there, and required some cutting and welding to squeeze in. There is no access to the rear of the motor unless you remove the engine cover inside the cab. Standard six cylinder Transits had a fixed engine cover, but we have made ours removeable and it really helps.

Hi all , I'm new here found the site in retro cars. Some really nice cars on here too, and not just the normal stuff too. At heart I am a Land Rover nut, but I also like on road things. My daily driver is a 1988 BMW E34 535 which I have owned for a couple of years, my sis used to be in the motor trade and she got it for me for silly money. Its not been modified at all, but it really doesnt need it what with LSD etc only problem is the Autobox but hey the 535 with manual is pretty rare. The only Land Rover worth mentioning that I own isnt on the road at the moment, been of the road for a couple of years. Its a 1965 (well the log book says so and who am i to argue) short wheelbase still on leaf springs and drum brakes but has full cage and a Rover V8 from an SD1 in it with about 180bhp or so at the flywheel. The Land Rover looks like a complete bag of old bolts, but she was great on the road and used to annoy alot of the boy racers round here, as she would leave most things standing only problem was stopping the pig. I want to get her back on the road this summer as I miss the V8 throb.
If i work out how to post pics I will put some up.

Hello igbandy
Nice to here from a LR enthusiast. I used to own a tatty series 2A lightweight. How unreliable was THAT car. Fantastic off road though. Could out drive my friends Defender V8 easily (less weight). Sadly kids arrival meant real car time. Maybe one day again.
Nearly bought a series one witha 2.8V6 in it once. That was quick. The guy that looked after my LW had a series one with a huge 5 litre V8. Now THAT shifted!

I've got a 1990 Disco TDI that I've had for 3 years, MT tyres, Safari Snorkel and jackable sills..... It's a great car, but it's forever bloody broken!! My other car is an Audi Coupe Quattro 20v (not Ur though unfortunately)
