1965 Singer Chamois , Actually went for a drive

Having a go at the inner wheelarches now , these have never been undersealed so decided to see whats under the blackish mess , very surprised as theres no holes or significant rot , only mild surface rust , plan is to respray in the original colour of foam grey so it looks as was when new , heres the start

What are all those number plates in your garage? Are they deceased cars?

Just done the same on the rear inners , Process the same as the front ones , I'm well happy with the result

Havnt posted much lately as theres not been much to report , ive resprayed the bonnet and fitted a CD player , refused to drill a hole for the aerial so managed to get my grubbys on one of these , 60s window fitting one , Got to say works really well , we now have sounds , ready now for the Imp club national AND RETRO RIDES at Haynes , see you all there ;D ;D

Not much to report lately , been working on my Imp van , was having a few issues which turned out to be a combo of worn dizzy and a slight air leak , my boss gave me a NOS dizzy which although the wrong spec was still the correct 25D type , ive built it up using my advance weights / springs and altered the degrees to the correct spec of 17 degrees , sorted the air leak , she now flies

Taken me ages to relocate this thread sio ive added a few piccys of the interior thats now finished

Havnt used or fired this up since the last post which apears to be last year , earlier in Jan I shut the bypass hose off , this forces more coolant to the heater and should make it hotter , draged it out the garage yesterday , fired up first go but had a semi flat tyre , also had two front wheel cylinders siezed , one on each wheel , anyway a bit of faffing about and finally went for a blast , seems to run great and the heater is deffo hotter ;D
Would be better if I remembered Ive still got it and to use it more , sooooo little time

It is a shame really , must try harder.

Just bought this beemer as a daily hack , its a 1986 318i E30 , 61k from new , full BMWSH and one owner , needs lowering and the rear arches are a little crusty but otherwise its a peach , everything works including the original Blaupunct radio , ive got a pair of wheel arch repair panels for which il fit if it ever stops raining ;D
