One of my favs has to be my solution to covering the nasty bare metal in the back of my stripped Fiesta! Where the old boot side pannels and boot floor used to be, It was all old and damaged and looked odd! So i got some thin plastic out of a skip and knocked these up! Reason i chose this was cause of how simple it was to do and how good (i think) it looks for no money AND I did it my self!   I got loads of other mods i like too, But they're stuff i either just brought or didnt do my self |

Forgot that one  Yeah that wins cause i did do that my self ;D Still got it, only problem is my hatch back is black interior and i cant be bothered to re-cover it! |

i was thinking spray paint tbh! We used to spray parcel shelfs when i was in the trade and as long as u want light shelfs black and not black shelfs light colours it used to work really well and didnt come off either!
I was thinking of selling it and working on summut with full size scalextric, Maybe Escort van, Transit, T4 or even an estate car. idk

Fav mod on the Magnum so far has been the lowerage (pic to follow)
• the GT6 was the polyurethane bushes/adjustable shocks combo - transformed the handling.
• the GT gas to be decent sized and quality tyres - went from squirrely and rubbing to dreamy and clear!
• the Arosa has been 8x13" rear wheels and the Porsche seats mean I can fit in it now!

Possibly not the mod that made the biggest difference, but certainly my favorite and the best value in terms of transforming the car... This:  Combined with these:  (24mm ARB and 19mm torsion bars) have turned the 205 from an understeering slightly soggy car into a sharp, responsive and ever so slightly tail happy one. |

When I was a very young nipper (about 4 or 5) I remember a lad over the road who was building up a mk1 Capri. It was satin/matte black with red stripes down the side. The best part were the HUGE rear wheels. They were about 20" and about 15" wide with a really deep inner part about 10" deep. It was the most awesome thing I'd ever seen, and the back had been hiked up 2 or 3 foot. I used to sit on my wall and watch the car build up from a distance. Amazing, I think that got me interested in cars.
I'd love to see a picture of it, or something like it, I often think of it and it makes me warm inside!

On the Golf it was losing the kit held on with plumbers adhesive and matt blacking:   Similar thing on the Porsche:   Think all one colour makes a huge difference! Obvious exceptions though. And oddly similar to what Lewis did to his (now mine) car:   |

My best mod was surely my first lowering-job. Going from standard sky-scraper rideheight on the Mk2 Golf to 60-40 mm lower stance.
