sounds good to me! no info on the site yet, but can you take passengers? and are the sessions run all day? or does the track get hectic and abused for just a few hours?
i might be able to russel up another 4/5/6 people. i will see what i can do. not all in retro cars mind. (i assume they can park off the stand if they are in 'evil moderns'?)
whats the deal with safety, helmets and long sleve tops all thats needed?

last time you could take a passenger for an extra £5 sessions are run all day every half hour I think?, they last 15minutes
long sleeves and trousers a must.
when I went round there were about 15 cars on track. (at the start)
I have fond memories of the last event loosing grip at 95mph on the last corner - in the girlfriends car (did not know I was 'racing' it either)
this really is a fantastic event and circuit, I may still take the volvo 240 round for a slow and steady few laps.

When will you need to know by? Just i'm only running a '58 plate vauxhall combo at the moment - Don't think it will cut the mustard on the stand - or on the track (Even if i take the ladders off!) but I'm waiting for £4k of invoices to be paid next week so who know's what ill have this time next month...

This needs to be cleared up to be honest.
I think a number of people were thinking this is the Retro and Sportscar action day, which is actually later in the year. The Performance Car action day is much more modern stuff. And I think the thread title is a bit of a mis-nomer.
I may well be popping along to this, but not in my toy car. However it may be worth start a seperate thread for the Retro day, and for this Performance car day as some people will still probably want to go to the Performance car day.

I am so up for this. And, with the help of my brother I shall bring the roadworthy members of the fleet. That will be the Bluebird, and the latest addition - THIS.... This will be the last runout for the Bluebird before it dissapears into the workshop for a much needed engine overhaul, and if i'm feeling flush(possibly not, we'll wait and see) some body attention too. I don't mind paying for my tickets if i get 2 spaces. So, if they're both welcome..... 1) Andrew 104ZS, 1 stand pass 2 track passes 2) David B310 Coupe, 1 stand pass 2 track passes 3) Grunty, 1 stand pass 4) Jaime, 1 stand pass 2 track passes 5) Dugong, 1 stand pass 2 track passes 6) Craig 1010cc, 1 stand pass 7) Bruce (MM) MR2, 1 stand pass, 2 track passes 8) Dave (mk1gti) Volvo 240 1 stand pass 9)Dan (Bazboy) Volvo 340 1 stand pass 10)Blueyhonda, Bluebird & Pulsar, 2 stand passes

I'm going up in the Escort. Look out for it parked up with a big group of Saabs. Ive also got a track pass for the 0900 sesion going spare - i was planning o taking the Chevette, but too much to do too little time syndrome means that is off the road with no MOT. If anyone wants it they can have it for a tenner - id rather loose a tenner and see the pass go to someone else thna just throw it away. Looking forward to the show though, its always a good day out at Combe.

I'm gonna have to drop out.
I've still got no usable kitchen and need to get a lot of rewiring & plastering done over the weekend as well as get the plumbing sorted ready to fit the new kitchen next week.
It's tempting to 'skive off' to go have a play, but I think it would be unwise seeing as we've been without any form of cooking or sink for over a week now.
Oh well.....here's to DIY!!
