I'm sure you've all bean reading the "MKI Polo Coupe / Hatch" thread,
Some interesting thoughts / suggestions have been bought up which I'm making notes of.
However, there seems to be a split in the decission on where to put the bike eninge: either in the front or in the back.....?
So I thought I'd crteate a poll and get some other people's suggestions on the idea.........
(have started skething out a way of putting two bike engines in the rear running thrught two seperate diffs but using just one shaft.......)

One in each end gets my vote still:
None of the associated difficulties of getting two engines to run a single axle.
Can run the same setup at each end (Gizzolf diff, hubs, shafts...Just lock them at the rear to prevent 4-wheel steering) giving you the same track at each end...
Four Wheel Drive.
Even greater 'What the FECK was that?!?!' potential.

l voted back. Purely so that we see it happen. The front and front AND back options sound cool. But also sound like monster projects that won't see the light of day for several years.

There's no chance of me putting one in the front and one in the rear - the budget's just not big enough. Mr_Bo11ox: Don't worry, I'm currently scowering (?) through adds / eBay for a bike....

Back,. behind the seats, under the parcel shelf, hidden from view Have already done some measuring, and unfortunatly this won't work - the engine needs to be in front of the rear shafts, and there just isn't enough room, so the rear seats would have to be cut out.

Could you cut out the backs of the rear seats or make a metal cover for the 'engine bay' and place the false seats slightly further forward..?
Could work....

Make an engine "cover" out of the sort of plastic crate you might expect general car guff (oil bottles, jump leads etc) to live in. Spread a small amount of general automotive detritus around the rest of the interior, and it will look for all the world like a workaday Polo with the back seats removed and an untidy inside. THEN unleash the surprise power.

Maybe I'll just make it easier and panel in the rear quarter windows and tint the rear window.....
