Got the new Retro Cars mag,.. too early for an RCS report,.. usual gumpf in the magazine,.. Quite interested to read the big on Daihatsu Charade GTti's (although cover photo!? I think not) ,.. However www.gttioc.co.uk (the owners club) which is mentioned in the article and in an advert after the article doesn't work!! Or is it just me? Was thinking Charade GTti as my daily when my better half sells the Seicento  |

it winds me up that it is their own show and it takes them a month and a half to do a report, news papers can have news that happened the night before on the front page and to the newsagents for 5am, sort it out!

I'm SHOCKED and APPALLED by some advice they have given in their Retro "Professionals" section,.. Somebody emailed in and asked:
"I was considering buying a Nissan Silvia to play with that has a sick engine. Will the 200SX engine fit straight in, turbo ECU and all?"
Their reply :
"They're a similar engine but not quite the same. To be honest, we'd forget the Silvia (they're just so old and rusty now) and just buy a 200SX.
I mean WHAT THE HELL IS THAT ABOUT!!

Just got my copy of "retro car " in the post today like the article about the gtti had one years ago when i was in college along with a domino !! that was even more fun it was like being tied to a roller skate and sent down a big hill
you could even get it to go off the clock
well on the M40 between jct 4 and 6as long as you were going from london to oxford.....
just one thing i was on my home from santa pod the other week and to avoid the A14 jams i took the B645 that starts at Higham Ferrers just north of " the pod " headed east toward cambridge its a great road realy smooth sweeping bends nice straights as well.. when you get to St Neots get on the B 1046 it takes you to Junction 12 of the M11 its a great 35 mile run its shorter than the A14 and far more fun no speed cameras ( that i noticed )
but it was great and ended a top day ..............but wouldn't it be better if next years retro car shoe was at the srip by stratford upon avon as this is more central for people, santa pod is a so has been place in the middle of know where at least at ( avon park ) i think it is called you could drop the wife off in the morning and she can shop " that will keep her happy " in stratford so lets hope that this could happed as i think santa pod is a dull place at avon park they even have nice stands ...have fun in the sun
