Seem to remember 4 or 5 of them. that will be, www.southcoastskoda.comthen! ;D Great bunch of guys and cars! Don't worry about spare avaliabilty, i think everything is avaliable and all relativily cheap...

spares are no problem at all, and we're all a friendly bunch who will always try their best to help owners out if they have problems, i must have been offered all the parts to repair my Rapid's front end 4 or 5 times over.
Seriously though parts are available no problem, there's a place called Butts in Bawtry that specialise in Skoda parts. Nice and local for us, most parts are even genuine Skoda parts

*confession time*
I've sent FOUR estelles to their deaths over the years.
The sad thing is that they are truly great cars. Unfortunately there's a long-standing social stigma attached to them, and when new they were often sold to curse word on 0% finance who couldn't afford to run them (Yes! Car credit wasn't invented then...)
I'd have another tomorrow as I reckon they're boss, but there's alot of ropey cars out there which just aren't justifiable prospects (like the one I bought off eBay a while back - the only option was to take a gas-axe to it :-().
Show me a nice estelle or rapid in autumn gold sitting on KN Jupiter's and I'll bite your bloody arm off!

105 17 of those left. So the fact I destroyed one to keep my 120LS on the road and then caniballised another a few weeks ago makes me a very very bad person I suppose....

you just have to look on Ebay now at the prices some of these Skodas go far now, a standard 136 Rapid sold for over £600 in last day or so, and i know where there is an unregistered Mk1 Rapid 120G (1984 model) 15 miles from new, showroom condition £6000

Ah man, thats really depressed me learing that, I secretly love rear engined Skoda's, sad truth is though that I've not ever been to the scrapyard and not seen at least 3 being broken, it all adds up eventually, guess I'll never own that orange Rapid I've always wanted.

Those are surprisingly low numbers. But, I guess there are others in folks gardens etc on SORN notices (or maybe not!) which are not included in those figures. At least they are not getting bangered! Saying that, chopping them up to make a never-finished manky old banham death trap is just as bad if not worse.

LC Hughes is one of the better scrap yards in the area. Helpfull, well organised and not knee deep in mud.
