Daimler 2.5 V8 made from 1962-1967 had the Mk2's big bumpers and was auto-only.
V8250 made from August 1967-1969 had manual/overdrive option, but shared the slim bumpers with the 240/340 which had by now replaced the Mk2 Jaguar.

As said, your main enemy is rust. Check everywhere - sills, doors, A posts, crows feet (bumper hangers). A neighbour of mine had a 1958 Mk1 and it was a delight to drive but a pain to restore. Engine access is fairly rubbish because the bonnet doesn't open very far Winners have them on steel wheels by the way, chrome wires? FAIL

really nice cars the mk2's.. drive well too. id like one myself.... also like a 120 too but cant affored atm.. get it done in old race livery ftw... si
