not sure now, my panels were bought out of the vauxhall sportparts cat in the early 80s! i beleive the droop snoot group holds the moulds now for these and possibly makes them up to order, but not 100%

I am slightly confused by Viva coupés/Magnums/Firenzas. What's the difference?

1989 Peugeot 205. You know, the one that was parked in a ditch on the campsite at RRG'17... the glass is always full. but the ratio of air to water may vary.

I am slightly confused by Viva coupés/Magnums/Firenzas. What's the difference? That'll make two of us who are confused then.. ;D I'm led to believe that they all share the same 'HC' floorpan. The Viva coupe and Firenza( not snoot) are basically the same shell give or take the square/round headlight thing.. The Magnum I believe was basically a 4 door Viva shell but only came with the OHC engines.. whereas you could get a 1256cc Firenza I think. I'm sure somebody with hairy palms will be along shortly to tell us the real differences

Viva HC came in either a 2-door or 4-door saloon or 2-door estate & was initially avilable with the 1159cc ohv, or the 1600 or 2000cc ohc slant 4. After a year or so the engines were enlarged to 1256 ohv, and 1759 or 2259 ohc slant 4.
Firenza was the 2-door coupe version, with the same engine options (i think).
The Magnum was a later model, essentially re-badged Viva which had the larger 1759/2259 slant 4 engines only. When the Magnum was available i'm sure you could only get the Viva with the 1256 engine. Magnum also had a better spec interior, twin headlamps & Rostyle wheels (similar to the later Viva GLS). I'm not sure if the Magnum was available in the coupe bodyshell or not. It came as either a 2-door or a 4-door saloon for definate.
I'm fairly sure that the later base spec Viva E was also available in the coupe bodyshell with 1256cc engines only.
There was also the Viva Sports Hatch, which was a 2300cc Viva Estate with the droop snoot front on it. Then there was the Firenza droop snoot, also with the 2300cc engine and ZF 5-speed gearbox iirc. Both of these models were pretty rare.
So essentially the Magnum was the larger engined luxury Viva, which was only introduced a few years after production started. Kind of like same as the differences between the Mk1 Carlton & Viceroy, or the later Mk3 Carlton and Senator.

Viva "E" coupes were done to use up unused firenza bodyshells.
They used to be 2 a penny round here when I was a lad. Where I lived, probably 75% of the local populace worked for or had connections to the plant at Luton (about 7 miles away), and they were available to employees at very very cheap rates.
