Crikey, didn't realise this thread was here! Its amazing what you miss! Some awesome ink on here! Here's my collection so far.
Started in ... 2000/2001 i think.
Started with my back. This was designed by a friend - i wanted something tribal, but not black. I wanted something a bit more imaginative, and different to the norm.
Get me and my short hair! lol
Then I had my ribs/sides done - both are identical
I love reptiles, and owned a leopard Gecko at the time. Skelly was awesome at doing realistic stuff, so i had my Gecko tattoo'd.
And after many discussions, we first did a biomech background to it, which then became more of a biomech tree. Excuse the sh!te photo i've just tried to take! There is lots more work i want to do to this piece, but thats where it stands today.
The above Tattoos were done by Skelly in Portsmouth.
By this point Tash had started getting inked by Jeff Ortega @ Evil From The Needle in Camden. I got talking to him one day, cos i knew i wanted a sleeve on my left arm, but made of individual tattoos linked together - all to be very automotive and 'me' orientated. I had developed a love for a skull and rose design on a billabong Tshirt i had, and thats how the first part came along. I curse word love this tat, sometimes i just wish it wasnt on the inside of the bicep!
My pin up girl was then started. Co-incedently i went to see Jeff last week and am booked in for March 19 to get it finished. It was started over 4 years ago!! I cannot believe i have gone that lone without being inked!
Theres a lot of other work i have planned, and i often keep pieces of inspiration. If i still like it after a year or so i figure i can live with it as a tattoo.
This clown was spotted on a picture in a cool little craft shop in Gibraltar. It reminds me of Gib, and i just love the genuine happy smile on his face. Kinda says to me "keep smiling while all around its curse word down on you". Ive had this photo for years. I have one major sticking point. Tash f*cking hates clowns. As soon as she downgrades her threats from 'divorce' to 'cutting my b0ll0x off' i'll get it done lmao
As many of you probably know, Tash gave birth to our first last November. I've been trying to think of what to do for 3 months now, but on my way back from Jeffs last week an idea finally hit me. After doing some searching on the net ive found a piece of flash that will get used as a starting point.
this will become part of my sleeve on my left arm. It works particularly well for me - i will have his date of birth on the three sides of the dice 12 on top, 11 on the LHS, 9 on the RHS, his name "Alfie" will go across the banner (duh!) and the wings work especially well as his middle name is Angel. However, i hasten to add, it WILL NOT be done the same as the flash! lol
So, thats me to date!
