	Okay I'm getting pretty serious about sorting out another classic car (sorry dad),.. there are a few rules. It MUST be solid and MOT'd or MOTable. It is being stored outside (no garage) so probably best avoid anything Italian from the 70's. It must be reasonable to work on (a lesson learn't from my camper). Parts availablility should be good (and relatively cheap). Oh and Tax exempt would be nice. Oh and in the south of the country would be favourite, although I can get my to the Midlands pretty easily. Also it has to be less than about £1,200,.. but I COULD stretch (a tiny ammount) for very much the right car. 	Hmmm Either the Audi 100 - although, as you say, I think it'll be too expensive too - or one of the Mantas. Ideally the Gold one, just cos it's a cooler colour! ;D The 628 doesn't really appeal - I love 6-Series BMs but it's got to be a 633 or 635 for me. And the Karmann bodywork on the 3.0 is notorious for rot... I'd love a regular 3.0 Saloon - built in Munich.

	I'd go Audi Saloon or Rapier. Rapiers have Ford stud patten. Endless possibilities.

The rapier is a new addition,.. so not thought about it much. What is parts availability like. Likely hood of rust etc. (it has no MOT which concerns me).

	It's weird how close the front 3qtr view of the 1972 Opel A Series SR Manta looks like it wants to be a CSP311 Nissan Silvia (built from 1964-68 all 554 of 'em) Granted after you hit the end of the door the likeness finishes but still... it's a little bit interesting. Mind you having said that a lot of cars probably look similar.

	Oh, as for helping you with your choice... I would happily have any of those cars ;D Although any of the three BMW's probably stand out in my eyes, if the 628CSi was Gloss Black instead of red, that would be nice, flared arches and some wide rims and dumped on it's ass.

	The 6series, or the Strada, but if rust will be a major issue, I had to say it, but ditch the Strada from the list.
