took the 411 bumpers off today to nitromors them back to chrome.the paint came off no bother to reveal some nugget has keyed them with a grinder, and basically ruined them. cant afford to have them re-chromed so my options are 1-paint them matt black 2-leave them off. however if i leave them off the tailpipes of the exhaust stick out about 6 inches, and may cause concern with the law.not that I'm worried about that ;D with without what do you guys think?

On your car maybe I'd leave them on, the front looks alright with them off, I don't suppose you have any shots of the back end without a bumper? You could trim the exhaust back I suppose, or does the silencer exit too far back for that to be practical?

The more I look at Robs Rapid, the less I care for de-bumpering. However, for yours, dump the front and paint the back in the same pattern as the roof or straight black.IMHO ;D

in due course my friend. ;D changed one strut today, however need to find a replacement for the other side. hoping theyve got the opposite side strut where i got the last one. once they're sorted, when i can afford it the front will drop by 2 inches. il be losing the checky roof sometime cos i don't really like it.

I like em off. Can't really judge the back cas I ain't seen it, but the front looks better without bumbers IMHO. Some cars (like your 411) look great bumper-less. Others (Like my Merc) look...well....odd!

i used to worry about my exhaust protruding on my 1303 - some mot testers will fail it - until i reversed it into a tree... and had to take it off.
it never made it back on and i went out and bought a zoom tube for maximum sticking-outageness. no hassles at all with the law.

leave them off, i shouldn't worry to much about the exhausts, the pipe on my Grandfather's Proton seem to stick out by about 15/20 cm he has never had any problems
