	I know...just examining the possibilities Mmm...Ducati V-twin...how glorious would it sound? Realistic timeline: First car late may/early june. Use for 1 year. Use bonus 12 months later to fit bike engine. Or two. Two Ducati V-twins in the back, one for each rear wheel...? Or both running to a solid rear axle...? I turn 21 on friday - insurance becomes...acceptable. *n

	Actually...following that kind of weird-assed logic, four engines, four wheel drive? The v-twin is relatively tiny...Certainly possible packaging it...Hmmm... I'll spin up AutoCAD when I get home, offside and nearside modules with engine, box, linkages, drive, wishbones and hubs..? *n Edit: Hotwire is a very bad man for making me think like this.

	my brains are here to pick! was also thinking about narrowing a chin spoiler from a mk2 rs1600 - think u can still get fibreglass ones of these was also thinking hide the exhaust completely like the late model polos? would be great to have one that sounded meaty but was not visible!

	Mk II Polo squarebacks were always very under-rated round my way, there are still a good few running around (as bargain runarounds, funnily enough! ), so joe public and/or the Fast and Furious crowd and/or yuppies and/most other people consider them to be a pile of sh*te. I like them actually, considering the abuse some of them get I'm pretty sure they're tough as old boots!

	My squareback was solid as rock! Did me for near 3 yrs for 40 mile daily commute. Most reliable car I've ever owned. Day after I bought it, an LDV lorry tried to rearrange the rear hatch, result: dent in the hatch to the right of the number plate where as the LDV's bumper fell off!!! It's 1.3 would pull four decent weighted people up '1in3' hills in 3rd! And after I finished with it I sold it to a 18yr old girl as a starter car.

	i loved my mk3 - admittedly it was a G40 but the car itself, mental engine nonwithstanding, was great. that GT G40 pictured is a bit of a hybrid - the mk2 cars had the long pipe all around the edge of the engine bay to the right, mk3s have a shorter one. But the Mk2s had the boost return pipe over the top of the rocker, only mk3s had a special rocker cover with a passthrough in it. and i love that matt black ratlook one - it's someone's from porka i think, seen it a fair few times.
