Yep, still riding. Don't race anymore because my knees are knackered, pesky rigid frames ;D It's actually quicker for me to ride to uni than it is to drive, I can just nip down the inside of the traffic that's stuck motionless at the roundabouts ;D

I bought a BMX a couple of years ago with some misguided vision of me tanking around the place doing wheelies, bunny-hops and mid-air 360deg frame-stands.... I must've rode the thing five times before realising that years of cigarettes and alcohol have turned my insides to lard . It is now stored conveniently right in the f*ckin' way of everything I need to get to in the garage! Might take it to shows this summer though - beats walking! ;D

It would adjust my out look to jammy swine, but it still doesn't explain the Specialized FSR, and especially not the Spengle 3 spokes ;D

I'm just over 6' and just under 17stone and I'm still riding. Gary (owner of the V8 stars and stipes Beetle in the Ace Cafe thread) is (I'm guessing) around 19stone and can get 2ft of air out of a mini-ramp. ..in fact, he's so full of old school BMX flavour he can do cherrypickers! buggered my knee falling off when a cherrypicker went wrong. I'm a short , 5'7 so my mtb is built for a midget. current fleet 98 gary fisher hookoo e koo ;D 82 amaco freestyle king ;D ;D ;D even got a retro bike heh heh

Well, I am BMX all the way, but since I grew to all of 5' 6", the tiny size has never really been an issue for me. Used to use it all the time, but as seems to be the case with many of us, I lost the will to punish myself. Besides, the car offers protection from rain and stuff as well. Must sort it out for the summer though.

Sitting in my shed is A Mountain Cycle San Andreas with Junior T's Dave Hind built Hope/Mavic wheels and Primalraptor Tyres. USE post and Xlite Kevlar cover Ti seat Sram S900 Gripshift and mechs with Sram carbon Brake levers and original XT V Brakes with Coolstop pads. Rocky Mountain Chromoly bottom bracket and FSA triple crank (had a royce Ti but couldn't stop the thing creaking even with th Proper Royce bolts and copper slip) and either Wellgo platforms or Wellgo clipless. Gray racing riser bars and Azonic 120mm upright stem.
And my Missus's Raleigh Dynatech Diablo Titanium Georgina Terry saddle, X-Lite bar ends and Azonic shorty stem and Suntour beartraps. And in the Bitsa corner, my old Amp B2 and F1 frame and fork (needs re-bushing, I'm far to lardy for it), the old Royce Ti BB, a set of Campag Record OR Cantilevers (like V Brakes but much older) with a Fred Salmon brake front brake booster kit and X-Lite Chicken sticks.
Neither of us has ridden at all for ovr a year and a half, and I haven't ridden off road properly for about 5 years.
Really do need to bring them out clean them off and go for a good right, maybe round Delamere.
I smoke too bloody much though.
I really used to love cycling, then I went to uni as a mature student, and got a part time desk job, and started piling on the weight. Used to commute 10 miles each way when I worked nightshift for Safeway as a shelf stacker.
