silly-billies of the worst kind By the looks of it they knew what they were taking too so you cant just put it down to kids. If anyone comes round work or the yard flogging anything suspect i'll ring you and let you know. Were the tools insured?

were' all absalutly gutted i'm ringing the insurance tomorrow to find out were we stand but it doesn't look good I think my contents insurance only covers my garage here at home the workshop is 10 miles away the yard has pretty good security cctv on the gate and all the workshop doors are heavy steel doors with lock boxes with a good quality double latch padlock on our unit but the secure location turned out to be part of the problem once they were in the yard they were free to get in were ever they wanted without being disturbed 6 units were broken into and the car lot had some stuff stolen off a couple of cars with the ammount of stuff that had been riffled about in our unit we reckon they must have been in ours for around an hour most of the power tools had been moved to the door and the wasn't a single box or cupboard that hadn't been emptyed out or opened made one hell of a mess and must have made a hell of a lot of noise still very p####d about the whole thing only made worse by the incompetance of the pitsea police

Aw man that is terrible. Really gutted for you. Any ideas of who it could be, they have obviously had some idea of whats been in there. Do you often have people passing by who could have seen what was about(I don't know how remote/isolated your place is).
Best of luck with the insurance.

If its any consolation, at least they didnt go on a random 'destruction fest' as seems to happen in so many cases.

well its not isolated as its technicaly an industrial yard but it also has a car sales/vehicle liqudation yard in it which has alot of traffic through it especialy at the weekends and some of that traffic can be of the wrong type of people that seem to have their eyes in every direction but at the car they are meant to be looking at. cheer's darren and the rest of you it means alot to me and i'm sure ged and spike to. luckily the damage was minimal just have to move forwards and try and make the place even more secure. one thing is for sure they won't win, one way or another they will get whats coming to them. just hope for thier sake the police get to them before we do as in my eyes and i realy couldn't care less what the police or any human rights people think about this but if i where to catch sombody in there then the second they step over the boundary of the workshop door they have no human rights and will be treated like any other vermin that is found in the workshop trapped destroyed and thrown out in the rubbish.

Hope this doesn't delay the van et al too much fella!
I'm of the 'lessons in pain' theory school too. You ever get a chance to put it in practice - SELL TICKETS - or even AUDIENCE PARTICIPATION!!!
Gutted man, how you gonna re-stock? ( Not another traveller checking on insurance turn-around times I assure you!!! )

Just read this. Tools are one thing, but when people steal car bits, then they must have an idea what they're going to do with them - ie. they're 'enthusiasts' and I can certainly do without people like that in my hobby. Remember guys, when you're offered cheap stuff that seems too good to be true, check it out or you could be part of the reason that this happened.

That's sh*tty news . The parts look pretty recognisable - they might try and shift them on eBay? Worth watching... you could win the bid and give them a housebrick in the face as payment. Scum.

Nice start to the weekend Police are too busy chasing speeders e.t.c To be fair to them if you caught who it was and gave them a jolly good thrashing the cops would probably turn a blind eye. Why are these people never caught in the act??? It would be great to dish out some justice on the spot. Scumbags.
