cut & paste from NSRA
Over the last two or three weeks somone has got into one of my lock-ups over at Addiscombe and nicked all four wings, bonnet, boot lids ( 2) and probably the windscreen from my Allard K2. All hand made in aluminium, see attached pictures of ones cloned from them 15 years ago for another car. The items are all in bare metal aluminium , a bit oxidised, and as other parts with wood attached ( woodframed doors or tubular frames ) were left, it is my assumption is that it was an opportunist totter who tried the door handle, found the door could be opened and got in. He (they) had a hard struggle to get them out as the wings are big and and were stashed at the back and barricaded in with other awkward to move parts. Everthing was put back as it might have been and the door closed.
I am offering a reward of £100 for information leading to recovery of parts and have send reward letters to all local scrap metal dealer and visited a few.
Although parts possibly taken initially for scrap it may have later become apparent to the taker or their chums rhat the parts have more than scrap value so may be trying to sell them on into the classic car or hot rod world. To cover this possibility could you please do me a favour and pass the word around.
Grateful for anything you might be able to do.
