Well, I like that. Didn't think the teledials would work but with a skinny tyre it does.
I'm sorry I stayed away so long, as this is looking really well now - after all your hard work. I'm still very jealous of the two door B1!!
Did you ever fit the Sierra rear springs? I have a set of cossie ones to go on but not sure it needs them tbh.
Great work!

I am kind of dissapointed, Since the teledials were styled for a much rounder car you got me wondering if they could be treated in a different manner... a quick image search later: Though I was thinking of a dark grey... A bit closer to your Fuchs concept once the holes are picked out in silver.

The original plan was always Fuchs but I cant justify spending so much on wheels. The teledials came up cheap and I was going to fully polish them but in my haste to get them on before the end of the season I just sprayed them silver again. To be honest I need to spend some time and money on the suspension before thinking about wheels and stance. I did buy some cossie rear springs but they were standard and did not fit very well. You need to use 40mm lower aftermarket ones but none have materialised at the right price yet. I think it is going to be put away in storage for the winter and then see how I feel about it next year. If I get offered a good price in the meantime I would probably sell. I fancy a Mazda 323 Turbo at the moment

I think this will look really good on teledials tbh, stands out a bit and as you say, not ridiculously priced

That looks great with those teledials...though I think I like the original grill and lights better. Keep up the good work and updates.

Looks not too bad, but the tire size is very German lookish.
I think it would look better on 195/50R15.

Thanks for the comments, good or bad as its always interesting to hear another persons opinion and I wont take it personally.
I am quite an impatient person so it is unlikely the car will stay on the teledials even though I do like it. It is really an excercise in seeing what fitments work so if I do manage to find the money for a genuine set of Fuchs I now have a better idea what size to go for. All my modifications will be reversable but whatever happens it will only get better.

Your car is sweet! I'm not feeling the teledials and lo-pros though, sorry! IMHO it would look better with detailed Fuchs and some fat rubber out back! Personally I would go for repop Fuchs and have them detailed. Would save about 1400 quid, and you wouldn't cry when you curb them!! al.

In fact I have a mate who works at VW Heritage who can get me some detailed fooks for £320 with his staff discount so watch this space

320 quid for a set of detailed fuch-a-likes is a bargain. It also leaves you with money for Smart car fronts and some 195 70's out back,if they fit? I'm trying to get you to build a Resto-cal car the way I would. I'm going to be a jealous git when I see it!!
