Here it is the reason a perfectly good mk2 golf was sold. Jo decided the golf was too boring so bought this. Not a bad deal though £300 mot and tax till august time and a boot full of spares. No serious rot to be found yet and just a few dents to sort out. Drove the 250 miles back from somerset to essex without a problem. No definate plans yet but it will be painted a different colour and wheels to be changed , only one thing for sure I am not allowed to lower it.!!!

V nice. These seem to be getting quite popular on here! Not many to be seen around nowadys though. What wheels? And I'm liking the look of the Mk 2. Is there a thread on that somewhere?

LOVELY
Theres a nice green one on the bay at the moment, got a crunched wing but otherwise mint.
I'd love one of these with a 2.0 injected carlton engine + 5-spd, nice and smooth and pretty economical I bet.

Would you believe i've had the cortina since 1992 but have not put a thread on here about it, was part of the retro-rides max power feature thingy though. don't know what wheels yet have a few ideas but they have to be okay'd by Jo first. Probably nothing much going to happen till after christmas though due to impending wedding.

Get some springs on it 400lbs front 220lbs rear Just an inch lower and she wont notice ;D You wont believe the difference in Handling. ;D Failing that the GTE Manta stuff is pretty good as well ;D IRSM Dave has still got the 5 spoke deep dish wheels off his Caddy that would look good on there ;D Banded Rostyles in cream are the LAW though ;D ;D

Curse those SWMBO-imposed no lowering clauses! You might have to go 15"+ on the wheels to fill those arches then.
Wasn't your caddy red Diff?

Don't know why but have done threads for both of Jo's cars but none on either the Cortina or the Caddy, will have to remedy that asap.

I'm in trouble , fitted the manta springs and a set of bilstein gas shocks today , rears ok springs fitted alright sits about the same but the front dropped until the tops of the tyres disappeared into the wheel arches oops. Was outside until 10 oclock last night refitting the original springs - I am going to need a new set though as the originals are different lengths by about an inch.
