I'm affraid MRRX22u is right in what he says - 4 x 110 is what she is - same for 818,616, 1000, 1300 and 323's hatches and 626 Montrose to Feb '81, then along came the front wheel drive models and the PCD changed I've run Ford (4 x 108) alloys on all of mine for over 20 years (including stage rallies) and never had any probs Not the best picture in the world but this was my mates wagon towing my Mazda 1000 rally car after being over to compete on a rally in Ireland back in '94. The engine from it is the one pictured above with the 40's on.

A bit of an update, I got the wheels painted and below is a piccie taken by Retro Mat of his 323 with mine. As you can see there are a fair few differences between them, they would have been sold alongside each other when new though! I decided to buy some retro gauges for it and acquired these Japanese Yazaki gauges of E-bay, very period I took the rev-counter out of the double pod and installed it in the car on top of the dash with a single 52mm pod. I have also won a matching Yazaki volts gauge and when this arrives I will be putting it in the double pod along with the oil pressure gauge. Redline set to a conservative 5000RPM ;D Max power is at 5500RPM. I may need to buy a brighter bulb for it from Maplins as it was a bit dim tonight. And finally I have installed this Motorala Quadraline 8 track player, I had to remove the cubby hole but it looks pretty cool and sounds good too

yep, the sheep shaggers lower just about every car in NZ to about a finger width above the ground, don't understand it really but they nearly all drive stupidly low cars. get onto ausrotary jammzr and grab yourself a tacho equipped dash.

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

Does anyone knows what type of Mazda engines can be fitted on a UC gear box? My car is a Ford Econovan with an UC Mazda engine and I want to replace it with a newer Mazda engine.

Along with 323s are prob the most common rotary conversion. I'm thinkn some econovans gearboxs are the same as series 1/2 rx7s. Think u just needa rx bellhousing and machine the imput shaft...have read about this sometime ago. look on rotahavik for more info as for the 323, YOU HAVE ta tang it. Will be real different over on ur side of the world. RX3 crossmember blots into the 323 making it the easiet rotary conversion of all! (if you can find an rx3 crossmember) somebody overhere makes replica ones tho

Time for an update. New wheels now fitted I have owned this for a year now and it passed it's MOT last week with just one advisory so I am likely to be keeping it quite a bit longer A few new pics below from the past year of ownersip. Shot by RetroMat showing comparison between FWD and RWD 323's. Taken a few weeks after buying it. Campsite in Holland the day before Japanese Classic Sunday this July. At Japanese Classic Sunday Trying out TheDoctors 9x13" SSR's. Bolt on arches maybe required The wheels I actually bought. 6x13" Wolfrace slot mags. At RR08 with wheels now painted and fitted.
