That looks like a great restoration but I have a few questions (sorry for bugging you, it's just for my own projects).
When you welded in the repair panels did you weld them in like for like or was there an overlap on the new panel? I'm asking on places like the floor and sills. I guess the body panels were cut and welded in like for like?
Also I notice that you puddle welded the top of the sills on. I guess for that you simply drilled the holes into the sill and then went about puddling them bits at a time?
Great work anyway given the time!

Now this Mini is styled in a way similar to how I would do mine if I had one. Love the look so far. However, won't your brake pipes rub on the driveshaft or is it the way the picture depicts it? Great work so far .

Fantastic work mate!
This thread is making me feel guilty for getting rid of our Mini now!
Any more pics?

I really love the way it looks here with the 10'' rostyle wheels Very 70's, kinda reminds me of an Innocenti built version.

Mini eh? Rolls Royce Merlin bolts straight in them you know.

Funny you should say that as I have sourced a set of Innocenti 10" steels to go on

what happened to the arches???
Glad u kept them off, I think a mini on 10s is the dogs knackers. Nice resto work with impressive results, probably better panel gaps than from the factory.
Did you use heritage panels or patterns? I used patterns as I was a student at the time however I really regret doing so now. Going to have to replace my door skins, apanels and bonnet as I am just not happy with the gaps.

Once it was painted I just liked the look without the arches, all the panels where Heritage or Rover
I've just started work on a 1963 Mk1 and again I'll be using Heritage panels
