Got a bit more done today , painted the arches Not the best PICs but got em bolted on , also got a load of rubber weather seal to go between the arches and the body , helps fill and gaps , better photos to come... Was getting late and needed to feed my belly I'll giv e it a few days then wet sand/ polish the new paint . Might need to raise the rear a few mm more , looks really close to the arch, but car looks to high now already , think I'm gonna need to try fit a smaller tyre so I can add more lows again , front wheels look a bit lost , think I need more tyre up front , maybe 205 50 15 to fill the arch a bit

Your car is awesome man! I stumbled onto your photobucket account while looking for duck tail spoilers. If you end up not liking your flares (which I didn't like the look of those ones) I went with the District 9 ones. You can find them on Ebay and they look pretty good, they are also flexible plastic so they won't crack.
Did your car come with the flat rear tail lights? I've been looking for a decent priced set for a while now, but I am in the US so we got the ugly bubble ones.
Where'd you get the rear duck tail from? The ebay ones are all twisted and molded badly.

They could well be next on the list , bit pricey though but look a better fit for the celica than most the other ones I've looked at , Only the early ones over here came with flatlights , I managed to find mine on eBay , Thailand I think ! There's a dew sets that pip up but are silly money , can't remember exactly but I paid over £250 for mine that was about 8 years ago ! My ducktail was an eBay jobbie too .

I would love to find the flat lights but not prepared to spend close to $1,000 I ended buying the ones that said they were for the Holden Commodore. For some reason they were over $100 less than the Celica branded ones. They said they were universal so they should all be the same. They fit rather nice too. The ends need to be heated and bent to the body but otherwise they are a good alternative to the bubble ones. For a little motivation here is a pic

How about now? Does it show up for you? The ends on the inside of the wheels terminate right above the bend in the rocker panel which gives it a nice smooth transition from body to fender.

They look spot on ! Just looked through the district 9 other bits for sale... For some reason the postage on the golden ones us almost half the cost for the celica ones !... When the time comes I know which to go for.... They even use a lot if the same pics for both including the ones with measurements ! Thanks matey

Looks amazing. Sits absolutely perfectly with great period looking features. The yellow grille panel is the icing on the cake though!

Ahhh... I'm not a member on toymods so can't open the link... I'll have to sign up and have a nosey The rears have adjustable threaded platforms and shocks. From a BC kit meant for an ae86 , fit OK .. I had it at a height I was happy with. But now had to raise it about 2" just to clear the tyres.. I have just bought a pair of 205 50 15 which hopefully when on will give enough clearance to drop it back down... Then plan is to send my 2 spare rims off to be widened to 9x15 , then either fit these to the rears if needed instead of the 10x15. IR if all well I'll put these up front to fill the arches a bit better . The front gas come up by an inch or so after I fitted softer springs, they were a bit longer ... But plan now to replace the alloy eBay coilover sleeves with some weld on ones and fit them lower down , and finally shorten the strut casing ... Been meaning to do this for years ( I've fitted shorter shocks but. Filled the gap with a spacer) . Hopefully then shell be sat a bit closer to the floor All good fun
