Really good day out, worked out around 270mile round trip including detours for tyre collection (about 2 hours travelling each way ) and a 26-28mpg average Good to meet everyone. Could have been a good venue if it wasnt for the private function (need to make a bulk purchase of christening cards next time ;D) My pics for the day Hot Action Cop ;D Bus marking its territory Nice looking imp Nice looking Disco And finish with a dirty Monza Thanks to the organisers for a good day, will have to try and make another one at somepoint Cheers to Hairnet for the coffee, the tyres and being the butt of many a joke And good luck with the `tina reanimation it looks pretty solid, it should be a laugh when its done

So where exactly did the event happen? I thought it was meant to be the Memphis belle this time. Did something happen.

Since Matt is around on Sunday the 18th of March it is suggested we will meet again, somewhere. maybe at the old place to save matt some excessive milage! only prob is that not only am I likely to have a trademark hangover being my mates 30th that weekend but I also may have none of my clunkers on the road then! So its just an idea at the mo. of course I don't have to go, but if i'm relieving Matt of oganising duties for once I should be there... --- Meat ball it was here:

Matt, are you around in april? Hey, I have an idea, how about a MR2 clutch changing party at my moms house in March! Sounds good, you change the clutch and we will all stand around and watch ;D Sounds like an excellent plan - I'd be up for some clutch changing action. How much parking is there round your mums, and how much would she mind a load of retros descending on her house? My delayed photos from the meet - thanks to all for turning up ;D Proper 4x4 - not used on the school run, although skodastop cleaned all the mud off Hairnet's nerr nerr bike - I want one! Phoenix's chariot, as co-driven by TonyCC and doubling up as wheel transporter. I want one of these now as well Non-retro 'rosa and Andy 'Pimp Daddy' Max's Golf (from VZi), as his bug is still in pieces in the garage 5 years on... Steve's imp - not sure about the rubber gloves on the back seat though Another VZi poster - Paul's Bay window: Close up on that bumper: (not just holding it together, honest ) Reanimations only working road legal car, and taken from the good side (the side without the colour-matched gaffertape) The pub was shut for a private do - apologies to all concerned for this... but on the other hand, it did have retros in place: Ugly, mossy renault van and in the distance - running past the pub is a canal - don't get a lot more retro than a narrow boat: As we moved off in search of food, the Polyphonic Spree Demon Dubs Warrington VW club passed, so I doubled back and got them to come along to another pub with inbuilt retro: The Demon Dubs were extremely friendly, but had nowhere to sit in the pub as they werent eating... Thier cars: Mint as anything, and I love those Gasburners Hood-ride esque caddy Starsky and Hutch Cinq had a red flashing light, but no available 5th gear or reverse How much do I want a porsche? Proper hippy VW! The Demon dubs have a photo album up here as well! Matt

Hey theres all the cars I was waffling about! ;D Quite like that psycodello-beetle, bit different Sapph piccie came out good too, it is the good side apart from slightly cracked bumper! BTW the MR2 works its just a slippy clutch and some tlc needed so saving on tax, and limited miles
