I remember when I was a lad my Dad worked as a sales rep and he got the company a huuuuge order - still got it as far as I know - and as a reward they upgraded his Hillman Hunter to a metallic dark brown Marina TC ;D Was I the coolest kid in school or what ?! Because your Dad had a Marina? You want me to answer that? ;D My Dad had a Granada Ghia!

Nice work Rev I've never been in a Marina, I did work at the Cowley Plant for 8 months where they were built, albeit 30 years later, I spoke to loads of people who actually built them, some great stories.

First car I ever travelled in was a Marina . My dad had a 1300 saloon in that baby-poo brown/yellow. Died in a beer-related ditch-finding experiment. ;D As already mentioned my grandad had an 1800tc coupe in black tulip, between 1972 and 1985, when ownership passed to my uncle, who ran it until about 1993. Wonder if it's still alive?

I'll have to have a word with the family, see if anyone can remember. Last known position would have been in North Devon / West Somerset circa 1993.

Is that an H or a M? "MG" is a London plate. Either could potentially make sense though...

Any chance you may be able to help me do soem research on that motor then Ben? Yeah not a problem, just let me know what you want to know. The RAC charge for history checks but they do somthing that tells you what the car is meant to be ie the chassis type
