1991 Peugeot 205 Trio, so it begins - stripping down

As is usual for me, I've got lots of ideas of what to do, where to begin and how far to get into the project. From just making it hit the floor and take it to retro rides gathering, to doing the full lot.

So I started having a prod around the other day, at long last, and saw some mayo in the filler cap. Could just be condensation, but this engine is 954cc, so I'm going to pretend it's the head gasket and whip the lot out. This will be followed by making it as clean as possible and then my intention is for 1.9 GTi engine bolted to a 1.6 gearbox and using the 1.9 suspension.

Bumper is giving me a bit of awkwardness, gonna have to chop the remains of these nuts off I reckon. Think this is a common thing for 205s.





Generally looks pretty solid. Think I'll focus on making sure any rust is sorted first.
