Inspired by a corvette in another post, I wondered about the one that Claydon built a long time ago. Then, I remembered seeing his Willys (ooerr!) in the yard at Erith in Kent and went searching for that. It seems that he's moved down to Australia, and I only found one good pic of the car. Anyone got a pic of the corvette?

My favourite uk car ever. When I was 8 he took em for a spin in it at a show and i've wanted a blown hemi since. Absolute monster of a car in every respect.

Top grammar tips! Bought = purchased. Brought = relocated Lose = misplace/opposite of win. Loose = your mum

I think the guy who bought the 'Vette was called Steve Ashdown - I could be a bit mixed up here, but I think he might have lived near the bus garage in Bexleyheath.
Pointless trivia: I did a disco for 'Doc' early in my DJ career at Welling squash club.

Was it that long ago that the Willys was around! Amazing how time flies.
I used to work with a chap called Steve Ashdown, I'll bet it's not the same person though.
Disco trivia is always welcome ;D

Look what I found while perusing some old Street Machine's down at A52 the other day. Funny how this 'appeared' only hours after the thread went up:

I never thought this thread might resurface! First set eyes on the Willys around 20 years ago I think, had popped a Land Rover down to John's for some work and saw the Willys in the workshop. Gorgeous piece of kit. He was really cool about the car, not showing off about it at all. Nice bloke.
I remember the Corvette parked in Dalmeny Road, Erith. It was on my route to secondary school in the early 80's. That 'flake really caught the eye!
