Corsair , Sierra , 1940 ford staff car and other junk

Can remember seeing pics of this with the cossie lump in. Looks like a great project, in for updates.

Yeah , I know the guy who built it I thought it had sold years ago but it popped back up on here for sale so had to have it

Not much happening on the corsair project but I've been keeping busy , the VW T4 that is owned by me , my dad and brother was looking pretty tired so I decided to poke it with a screwdriver to see just how tired it was , to be honest it wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be but being a novice with body work I thought I'd give it a go. This van was bought for £650 and had sat for 6 years , many hours and monies has been spent on the mechanicals and it drives a dream being the 2.5 5 cylinder turbo model but it was looking faded and all the arches we're bubbling, so new front wings , both rear arches , o/s/r inner arch, both front steps and the sliding door lower rail we're cut off and replaced , then many hours rubbing it down , epoxy primer and then 2k post office red.









































the pics make the paint look better than it is , it really needs a good colour sand and a polish but for now I'm happy with it for my first full repaint , and doesn't look out of place at a camp site parked up near the 40-50k fancy machines

And now I have this , been after this car for a while as my cousin rescued it from a garden about 10 years ago and done a lot of work to it with heaps of new parts and just gave up to concentrate on his triumph 2000 , its been off the road since 2006 , only a 1.8 cvh currently on 34k miles car is solid apart from the rear of the sills , its Tasman blue with blue dash and carpets, mostly all there ordered a gearbox mount and a gasket/seal kit for the engine and a clutch release bearing , plan for it is coilovers and I've got a set of 17 inch pug steel wheels, sparco steering wheel ad a peco big bore 4, proper reliving my youth with this one , eventually it'll be sold after running it over summer to fund some parts on the corsair

Been cracking on with the sierra of late, after some digging I though it best to chop the entire sill off and replace it as the previous owner had bought 2 magnum panel sills for it plus there was a lot more rot than expected but passengers side all done and drivers side almost done.

I remember that Corsair from around 1999-2001.
I worked with a lad called Davie, from Foveran, his mate, Jim if I remember correctly built it.
Interestingly, Davie acquired a 2dr red mk4 Cortina around the same time. I tried to buy it from him for 500quid! Loads more than he paid for it at the time! I wonder where that is now.

This is from a few years ago , met up before a show at Alford , the red 2 door Cortina i'm sure Craig paid a grand for it only sold it beginning of last year  

Its good to have a doggo come and sniff about and keep you company can get lonely in the garage sometimes, the connects are good little vans and can be had for pennies but they do like to rust, I chopped off the entire sill and inner strengthening and made up my own, only thing to watch is the ford metal is very thin on these compared to the vw I done 

Waiting on a vr6 front splitter and a choke cable then it’ll be ready for an mot , pretty happy with how it’s turned out
