Thermostat was replaced with a new oem one early this year and that works.
The engine will get upto temp if you wait long enough. If you let it idle it will take 45 min to almost an hour to heat up enough to switch on the fan.
Driving the car creates airflow through the heater matrix. The flow through the heater matrix is enough to cool back the amount of heat the engine generates to drive..
I've now added the Berlingo alu housing with 4 glow plugs to the heater hose. I made a switch and a 70amp relay to switch it on after i start the engine. It really does help to give a bit of warmth sooner then before.
A Webasto thermotop as used in the Landrover freelander would be a good solution but i have a serious lack of room to put it.☹️
